Man I love this amp. It pumps pure bass and the tones are so warm and can be changed to whatever you like. The EQ is awesome of course. The amp is a bit on the heavy side but I guess you pay for durability right. Love it though.I definitely recommend.

I have used lots of different amps over the years and this is as good as any amp I've ever played. I am very impressed with the versatility of sound this amp can produce. As good as my Carvin bx1500 .

I was leery of ordering it, but it was worth it. Great sound, versatility. One negative, the first unit I got the cooling fan was non functioning. Zzounds/bugera took care of it right away. It is heavy though, but it's worth it.

i own behringer products including a 6 year old bx4500h amp which has great tone and power and has never let me down. i build my own cabs and the new bugera bvp5500 is running thru 3 15's and 2 10's. the volume and tone this amp produces are phenominal. as i said i've had great luck with other behringer products and this one has yet to prove it's logevity, but i have faith it will last. since this amp is brand new i don't know what to put in the "required" manufacturer support column so i'll just give it a 3.

Thick tone-versatile,powerful tube/hybrid----I have A Carvin BX1200 that is ok but not as pleasing --this amp is great for acoustic electric as well.

"Best Kept Secret in Bass Amplification"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
The sound is great, but it's "all in the wrist". Sometimes less is more. I suggest flattening all controls to get the natural tone from your bass, then add or subtract to embellish your sound.
Features
It comes with a footswitch with two stomps...one for mute, the other to turn the EQ on and off. THis amp hass plenty of features, probably more than you'll need, but it's always better to have more than you need rather than not having enough.
Ease of Use
If you know what you're doing, you can achieve just about any sound you want from this amp. If you're not well versed in EQing, just start with everything flat and start (seasoning).
Quality
It's heavy and seem road-capable and it looks pretty good for rack-type amp.
Value
Yes.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed to call.
