Feature:
Everything is great-- But really need a signature Breedlove case. And a second strap peg.
Quality:
I've been playing it 10-20 hours a week for the last 9 mos., and have only needed change the strings. I can only assume it will hold up...
Value:
Aesthetically, the unique contours, shape and inlays are strictly bonus points, given that I bought the guitar for its playability & sound quality. I would challenge ANYBODY to find a product that delivers EITHER the sonic OR visual appeal for under $1,000.
Desirability:
Unique headstock, aforementioned inlays, and sound quality... I've had so many people ask about it at shows, or ask how I got the great sound in the studio. Most folks have no idea what kind of guitar is because the local music store sells out of them within 2 weeks of receiving a new batch.
Sound:
A challenge to sustain the warmth & richness of tone when bending the higher strings in the upper register (14+ fret range)... but having to work a little harder for good lead tone is what it's all about on an acoustic, right? Overall, sounds like a Taylor at half the cost.
Support:
Not applicable
Overall:
Will play my AC25SR-plus until it wears out, or until my musical endeavors justify stepping up to an Oregon-made non-factory Breedlove series instrument. Except for one of those high-end domestic Breedloves, some custom-luthiered instruments and a couple Taylors the $4,000 - $8,000 price range, this is the sweetest-sounding acoustic guitar I've ever had the joy of playing... and I got it for well under $1,000.
