2 out of 10Overall:
It looks like a great product. But as a professional player, +/- 3 cents isn't an acceptable tuning range. It's not accurate enough for pro gigs in the studio or concert sage. If I hit a sustained octave the tuning beats are going to pulse out with it's own tempo!

10 out of 10Feature:
Bunch of different ways to tune, with flat and double flat and bass modes. Also, it DOES tune to lower tunings such as drop c!
Quality:
It's a boss pedal. It will last longer than you or any other kind of guitar accessories you own.
Value:
I felt bad spending this much money for a tuner, but the thing about this tuner is that it does its job perfectly. I've bought a behringer plastic tuner and the thing was a joke; it broke in about it week.
Desirability:
The lights blink and the strobe tune mode is flashy.
Sound:
The bypass is a true bypass. No sound comes from your amp which is what it's supposed to do.
Ease of Use:
There is 3 buttons, which explain themselves. I didn't read the manual ever and have NEVER had an issue.
Support:
Never had to deal with them, but there's a couple years guarantee with the product so they will back it up, although I don't know how you could break the thing unless you were trying to.
Overall:
Somewhat spendy, but it's worth it because you will never buy another tuner ever again.

10 out of 10Feature:
It does for bass & guitar. I'd say its a very very good tuner. One of the best i've used out of handheld tuners and other footpedal tuners.
Quality:
Its perfect.
Value:
The price is fine, whatever. Its a good tuner, plus it pretty much just silences your and guitar if you're not using anything else.
Sound:
The sound quality is pretty much over-all perfect. It pretty much gives a perfect sound if you tune it perfect to 440.
Ease of Use:
The use of it is pretty simple. No one should really complain about it unless you're lazy, but its pretty simple like any other tuner but gives great tune sound.
Overall:
Its a perfect tuner. Gives you a perfect tune, and its as simple as could be.

9 out of 10Feature:
Has all the features I need in a tuner. I'd give it a ten but for two things: 1. The LEDs are difficult to see when using this thing outdoors. 2. When no one is performing while I tune, the unit works perfectly. If someone is performing while I try to tune my fifth string hardly ever tunes properly.
Quality:
Quality, as it pertains to the components, looks to be very good. I bought this tuner based on the apparent good name that Boss products come with. Looks like it will hold up over time.
Value:
I'd have given it a ten if the LEDs could be seen better when using the thing outdoors...and if it would tune quickly and accurately in every circumstance, which it doesn't unfortunately.
Desirability:
I don't have a desire to want a piece of gear just for the sake of wanting it. If it can solve a problem I have, I'll have a need for it, otherwise it can stay on the shelf at the store. Let someone else have the opportunity to buy it.
Sound:
Since it doesn't appear to degrade the sound at all, I give it a ten.
Ease of Use:
Almost perfect!
Support:
Never had to deal with Boss support so can't speak to this.
Overall:
I will probably buy a different tuner eventually because of the two issues I'm having, that I've already described. Otherwise I'd be happy to use this unit for the rest of my days.

Quality:

Value:
I think that it's a little expensive for a tuner.

I've never seen a tuner in pedal form.

5 out of 10Feature:
The TU2 doesn't have some of the features other "high-end" stomp tuners have, but has plenty for my needs. Aside from the TU2's convenience, ease of use, and accuracy, there's a lot to be said about Boss' reputation and overall quality. That in itself is worth a lot to me as an active professional musician. Construction and materials are always top-notch and will last, as opposed to some competitors' plastic and part metal/part plastic products. I have other Boss products that I've had for years and beat to death...and still work fine.
Quality:
Boss pedals are among the best out there, if not the best. Rock solid, dependable, and made to last. Five year warranty.
Value:
Yes, the TU2 is a bit pricey, but considering the "built like a tank" construction, Boss quality and reliability, I believe the going street prices are fair. It's the old addage, "you get what you pay for". I got mine for $79, so I feel I got more than what I paid for.
Desirability:
The TU2 is a "utilitarian" design and not particularly "sexy". It's a very practical and necessary additiion to my stage setup. If looks are what you want, there are some cooler looking tuners out there, but Looks aren't what gets the job done.
Sound:
I've always beleived that anything placed in-line between my guitars and the mixer (except the preamp w/eq) can affect the overall signal quality, but I can't hear any differences through the TU2. Absolutely quiet when switching between live and tuning modes....no popping.
Support:
The only reason I rated this a 5 is because I've never had to use tech support. They could be horrible and they could be excellent.
Overall:
As a professional musician who uses Boss products, I expect the TU2 to last a long time and provide consistent, reliable performance. If it were lost or stolen, yes, I'd get another one.

Bright display, fast response. Greatfor bass players too.
Quality:
Bullet proof-metal construction. The others are cheapy plastic.
Value:
Nice price for this quality tuner. Even the "stream" mode is only available on more expensive rack units.
Desirability:
Boss hit a home run with this tuner, its a must have for any roady.
Sound:
Transparent, as it should be...

I think the quality and price cant be beat.

3 out of 10Feature:
HAs all you need to tune with.
Quality:
Switch under pedal broke after less than 1 hours use during a show.
Value:
Well worth the money, at a loss as to howe it broke so fast, Always used DanElectro and changed this yearafter using a freinds pedal board setup.
Desirability:
It's a tuner, What more can you say !!!
Support:
Made contact, got the runaround. Never received a return call from anyone as promised. Addressed warranty and told it was my fault for "stompin" the pedal to hard !!! Yeah, my thoughts exactly if your thinking what I am thinking. Got so pissed , I threw the unit in a drawer and there it sits. $90.00 worth of of disposable income as far as I am concerned.
Overall:
Your employee answering the phone turned a good product into a poor one simply due to someones piss poor attitude and ego. Wish I had gotten the name, but i was just at a loss at what I was being told.

10 out of 10Feature:
It's a very versatile tuner. The one main drawback that it has is that is was one of the first "new wave" tuners out. It tunes low tunings, but not drop tunings. It has good accuracy for both bass and guitar, but it seems like you have to tune in relative quiet. Another thing that I personally find very unhelpful is that you can only tune electric instruments. My acoustic is a real pain to tune. I have to tune an electric and then tune my acoustic to the electric! So much for time saving! This tuner is really primarily for live applications. For that it has been outstanding and a life saver. For the studio, it's not so handy.
Quality:
Another good quality it has is that it is built into a BOSS pedal enclosure, which makes it indestructable. It doesn't get any better than that.
Value:
I found the value to about par. It's not a real great deal, and it's not way over-priced.
Overall:
Like I said, it really is a live tuner. I mostly work in a studio now, and I find it kind of annoying. I gotta bend over to plug it in, mess with the cords between the amp, guitar, and tuner. I can't tune my acoustic, and I can't fully tune to drop D. I am going to replace it, but if I ever play live again, I'll probably end up buying another one, or the model up from it, if they produce one.
