I thought I would have a nice, durable, synth pedal so I could write "techno" style bass lines- or even mimic a keyboard sound.
I didn't get it with this pedal. All it does is create a droning synth note if you pluck the string and hold the note for a few seconds.
This pedal also goes through batteries faster than you can swear at it! Make sure you spend $25 on an AC adapter ( which will bump your total costs for use of this synth pedal over the $200 mark! )
Live musisicians: Don't bother with it unless you are great at tweaking your amp under pressure. As soon as you step on this pedal at a live gig, it's almost guarenteed your guitar player, drummer, or any other member of your band will drown this pedals effect out in an instant!
The only GOOD features of this pedal is that it is sensitive to muted notes if you dial in the settings correctly. So it could enhance say a drum fill if you desired to do so.
BOSS should have a recall on this pedal... and replace it with one that is more responsive. I am turned off to Boss products as of this aspect right now.
