Feature:
Analog knobs for immediate sound tweaking is KING. Easy to understand and, more importantly, remember how to use.
Quality:
Made like a tank and well thought out. It's big and bad and red like the floating head of death itself. The two guitarists in my band are still furiously jealous, even with their digitech crap and pedals and all. Revenge is mine at last!
Value:
It's only a 7 because in a perfect world the government would issue these to every bass player inthe world for free. It's a little pricey... hell, it's very pricey.. but totally worth it.
Desirability:
Like I said before, it's big and bad and red like the floating head of death itself!
Sound:
The stock sounds are extensive and very good, but the great thing was getting deep into the EQ settings and making my own parameters (it allows you a lot of finesse) since I wanted to customize a variety of distortion effects. Also, now the flange, reverb, etc. are all in the unit, too, so I can thoroughly tweak my sound to best effect. This thing lets me do that more than anything else I've seen or used. My PSA-1 rack is now only used as a preamp on a clean setting... and I thought THAT was the bomb before. Go figure.
Support:
I can only say that since I haven't needed it at all, that's the best support there is.
Overall:
I'd get it again, it's tough like brick in face, and has everything I can see needing. Other stuff didn't compare at all except the digitech equivalent, but I tried a cheaper digitech pedal and couldn't see upgrading that, so returned it and got the Boss. Always did love thier pedals, anyway, so I just did the right thing and don't regret it a bit.
