Feature:
the only features i wish it had was more midi-sounding instruments- like the "sax" sound which i use often-- but then again it would cost 4x's as much

Quality:
it with stands alot of pounding on- i think it will last as long as i want it to

Value:
it is a little steep at its face value- but when you get it home, you realize you would have paid anything for it!

Desirability:
the color gives it a rugged appeal-

Sound:
the boss's sound and response is not like any other! i have tried every effects box out there in the last 8 yrs. and this one far exceeds any of them! the e-z tones are great and user friendly- i rate from 1-10 i give it an 11!

Support:
i have dealt with boss quite often in the past --they are very easy and knowledgeable when talking to them

Overall:
i overall rate it the best thing on the market aside from midi- synth processesers!

AS soon as I heard this at the store, I bought it and sold my gt-3 on ebay. The gt-3 was always harsh and brittle sounding, and you always had to tweak and tweak to get a great sound. On the gt-6 it is best to use a clean pre-amp by turning a knob, choose a distortion and there you are pure balls to the wall. The pre amp section and distortions work together in this box they dont fight each other like the gt-3. The sounds have much more warmth and feel, and the delay on this box is so nice that all you have to do is tap your delay time on the tap button. The price is so cheap on this box its definatley an upgrade from the gt-3. I love using the wah but the wah models arent that great, they dont cycle like a real wah but it gives you more options than the gt-3. When trying this unit out put a set of headphones in a gt-3 and then one in the gt-6 on the line headphones section. If this doesnt sell you , get your ears checked.

i wish it was easier to program a custom bank, which i'm sure you can, but i cant figure it out yet i wish the manuel was a little more descriptive but i say again...awesome

Quality:
the product, i have to say is the best or one of the best out there of its kind. its really sturdy, and its made out of metal it will last forever i'm sure of it... once when i was playing it and i was using the wah, and ilost balance i just like jumped on it by accident...not even a scratch

Value:
it is worth every penny of it..better then the digitech gnx3

its pretty sexy

it has close to, if not, 400 effects. yeah so i can get the sound i want...sometimes iwish i could get a certain sound, but there was no effect..so i made one its awesome, a little complicated at first, but none the less...awesome

i cant immagine buying something else..its awesome

I used to own a Korg AX1000G, which also had some nice distortion tones, but clean tones were not up to the mark. As soon as I checked out the GT6, I just exchanged it on the spot, paying the difference. An amazing processor. I use a guitar with a single humbucker. It was amazing how I could play Dire Straits songs with the same guitar with an uncanny resemblance to the original tone. The distortion effects are amazing. The best part is while fixing a wah effect on a distortion, if your foot is not on the wahpedal, the patch still acts like a proper distortion without sounding muddy like other processors till you step down on the pedal. AMAZING. Worth every penny!

Style of Music: What ever is paying best at the time

This is not a unit you plug in and play. You must first learn to use it or it can sound bad. If you learn to use it properly it has all the tone one could ever want and this is coming from someone who owns alot of vintage amps and was very suprised that with some tweeking I could come close to the sound of those amps miked up thru the PA without taking an amp to the gig. My new live setup is the GT-6 into a tube direct box and straght to my monitor mix. Our front of house sound man loves the tone and has stopped @@@@@ing about my amp volume on stage. Thats worth the 5 stars right there.

This multi effects pedal is everything a guitarist could ask for. The guys I play with were astounded at all the awesome sounds it produced. Their is not another effects simulator on the planet that compares to this for the price. It gives rack quality sounds at stomp box prices. I have had it for three weeks and have still not even begun to tap the almost unlimited array of effects the GT-6 has to offer. Way to go Boss!!! And Thanks guys for such an awesome site! I will be back!

Style of Music: Whatever gets my groove at the time !!

I was out shopping recently for a complety 'new' rig. Money was no object and I was prepared to spend BIG dollars on a sweet rack-mount system. Then, BAM !!!!! I plugged into the GT-6 and was blown away. Whatever you want to do with your tone is easily accomplished and limited only by your imagination. The loop effect is a really kewl tool for guitarists trying to learn layering and soloing techniques. Not to mention the posibilties it presents for recording and live gigs !!! I recommend this pedal to all that can afford it.

This thing has Great sound! I choose it everyday over POD, V-amp, and Genesis. The effects are airy and feel like they exist in a real space. The pre-amp is smooth with very little phase problems. And the OD/Distortions are premium! equal to or better than the Boss OD & Metal Zone.

This is hands down the best unit I've ever owned. I've played walls of Marshall stacks, Trace Elliot guitar cabs, 5150 cabs, Fender Twins, etc., and the GT6 nails 'em all. The GT6 allows me to play my Wolfgang at an all acoustic show! It has an amazing acoustic processor. If you can't get the sound you want out of the GT6, you shouldn't be playing guitar at all. THIS UNIT IS INCREDIBLE. ROCK ON, BOSS.........TAKE THE GLORY OF BEING THE BEST.

I own the Boss GT6 and it has been an awesome MultiEffects Pedal.
It Takes a little time to get used to it, but after you do, you will fall in love with the GT6.
I have used the DOD Tech4, the ZOOM 505 and the Digitech RP100 and RP5.....non of these match or come close to the Exitment you will get by using this Processor.
It may leave a hole in your Pocket but it IS well worth it.
hope you get a chance to use or own one soon
