"It's great ,better than the rest on the market"
I owned a lot of multi-effectsprocessors and
the most of it sounded nice but not great.the gt-5 has a great sound but you have to learn how to use it.A good ( tube )amp is a must.Play with the pre-amp settings and change the parameters a bit and it will sound better.the effects are good and they sound like boss . Okay the originals are better but the overall sound is convincing enough on stage.Bear in mind that a good tone comes from your fingers.! enjoy it

Boss GT5 Floor Guitar Effects Processor with COSMCustomer Review
Works well with my dual humbucker electric guitar, emulates
accoustic guitar well using the electric. Also, works well with
my Guild D-25's L.R. Baggs dual source pickup. I often run 1 end of
the Bagg's stereo through the Boss, the other directly to
the amp.

If you want an authentic sound, use authentic equipment. If you want a reasonable imitation, use this box. Great all around piece of gear. If it is not feasable to record with great vintage amps and guitars then this is the effect device for you. Live it is an organized convenient pedal board.

The factory presets for the Amp models are not very satisfying. Right out of the box the Line 6 and Johnson products sound better. However, the GT-5 is very easy to tweak and, once you do, its sound is on par with the products mentioned. Additionally, the GT-5 is far more versatile with many more effects and adjustable parameters.

Quite an interesting product. You can spend days
figuring out the different sounds that can create
with it. Gives lot of feedback (bad)..when used with high
distortion levels. Not that solid...if compared with other
boss pedals. Buy it if you wanna stay ahead in time.
