When I get an idea for a song I just grab my acoustic guitar and my DB66 and get started.My previous metronomes have never had enough volume to cope with red-blooded acoustic guitar playing (and my Dobro is loud!) but the DB66 comes through loud and clear.
In band rehearsals I keep one by my side and when we hit just the right groove - a couple of taps and I have the correct speed for the song - very useful (and time-saving).
By far the best metronome I have ever used.

A significant step up from the worthy DB66. This is a musician's dream timekeeper. It doesn't do laundry, but it does every else you could want in a metronome. And, you can hear it with or without headphones!

There's no sustituting on metronome's - get the Dr. Beat. Reason's are: The loudest metronome and also has audio out. The subdivisions are essential for playing with perfect rhythm. Most all professional classical musicians have one.

Feature:
This is definitely a superior metronome. I love the TAP feature which enables me to save time in determining a comfortable speed for my students. They play, I TAP and presto, we have a metronome reading!

Quality:
Appears very durable and I appreciate the case that it is enclosed in.

Sound:
For a Metronome, the volume level is adequate when the batteries are FULL charge. However, this metronome certainly can drain a battery fairly quickly when used on a regular basis. Within 3 weeks of putting in a new high quality battery, I noticed the light dimming, the volume diminishing and the next day, it was dead. The adaptor is a definite necessity. I should have bought one with the kit. This is one hungry metronome!

Overall:
I chose the Dr. Beat DB66 for its reputation from other fellow musicians that owned the Talking Dr. Beat. The price offered at your outlet was by far the cheapest. I would have liked to have had the adaptor included in the kit. It's a must if you are using it on a daily basis. MY students love it when I tell them that the BOSS will be paying them a visit today!
