"Steep learning curve, but effective"
Initially, I hated the CS-3 because I no longer felt in control of my playing. Even at the fastest Attack setting, notes still seem to slowly swell in volume, which I wasn't comfortable with. After an hour of knob tweaking, I found a sweet spot that makes it "transparent," but the effect is really noticeable only when playing through my amp's clean channel. Because I play mostly with distortion, to which the pedal just adds hiss and unwanted feedback, I will exchange it for something else.
"If you want the best sound for a cheap price, get it."

It would be better in black, dark blue, or red.

it gives a great feel when your playing. I play rock/metal and I heard Synyster used it, so i tried it at guitar center, and it's just what I've been looking for

it's perfect, and anyone who wants a shreddin' hard rock sound should get one.

I have other BOSS products, but this is my favorite.
