Feature:
Everything that a guitarist like myself needs to record is in this recorder. It is a perfect tool.

Value:
I paid $100 more than the price on this site. This recorder is easily worth hundred more.

Desirability:
It is so user friendly, so practical, there are no problems with it. It's a wonderful design.

Sound:
The only tip I have is for when deciding the level of your input, try to keep your levels always at the same volume. This will make it so all songs will be the same volume, instead of some being much louder than others.

Support:
Every product I have bought from this company has worked perfectly.

Overall:
I liked this recorder because When i started using it, I was only twelve years old. I didn't know a thing about any kind of multitrack or digital recording, but even the first song I recorded (which I still have saved) soumded very nice. I am, however, upgrading to a recorder with more tracks, because four is simply not enough for me anymore.

I just got the BR532 when it came off the line and I have everything good to say about it. It's got many special editing features, including high-end features such as a voice transformer. The BR532 is a very high quality product. I love this thing more everytime I see and use it. It is clearly state of the art, modern, and reliable. You get more than what you paid for, I went to get a 4-track analog, then spent 80 more dollars and I just hopped up to a professional digital recorder like that. I love this thing. It records very well also. I give it a beat I created on my computer, record that, throw the headphones on, then record my vocals. I was recording to a computer before, and I never realized the potential of my mic until I recorded to the BR532. Everything works out very smoothe. I also like the smart media card, which is very small yet has the ability to store a large amount of my recordings. The thing I like most is that you can put 6 AA batteries in it and use it anywhere. When I travel and have an idea for a song I can use the built in mic to record what I have in mind. It's only 4 pounds and you can record anywhere with it and take it anywhere. I have nothing bad to say about it.

I own it for only a few weeks, But since I have the BR532, my inspiration didn't stop! It's very easy to use, you don't even need to open the manual. Unfortunately is is shipped without an adaptor and only with a 32Mb smartcard. I think you'll need at least a 64Mb card...
As conclusion I would say, very easy to use, great effects, and very reliable!
THE thing to have for every guitarist!

On the positive side, the BR532 is easy to use (luckily, because the manual sucks) and has a few fx for guitar and microphone (the bass simulator is quite useful). The video was included for free, but is only useful to beginners. On the negative side, I had to immediately buy the adapter and a 128mb smartmedia card because the 32mb card holds about 3 min. of music if all 4 tracks are used. These should have been included. Overall, though, I love it and feel like it's a great value. I almost bought a little tascam analog 4-track but was surprised that for a little more I could have a digital recorder (much easier for fixing mistakes!)

The manual is not the greatest. There, I got the worst out of the way. The rhythm section is a real plus and sounds great. The built in mic is very cool for quick demos. It takes some getting used to--like learning to play an instrument-- but for a songwriter, it's the best thing to come along, and I have owned a lot of the other "stuff" along the way. I was surprised that it had so many features for the price. Buy an AC adaptor (NOT included) and additional sound card (64 mg or higher).

I own a VS-2480 but when I go anywhere I have this little guy under my seat. I never know when inspiration will strike, but the 532 allows me to be ready when it does. It's also great for getting others to drop tracks and then return to my VS and drop them on (.wav) without ever leaving the digital domain.

This is one of the greatest little gizmos ever made. I bought it for my band. The only downside is that it's damn near impossible to record drums BUT it has a rhythm machine that sounds EXACTLY like drums. But anywayz, I have a punk band and we recorded our first demo on it and it sounds great. I also use it as a preamp for my guitar. I plug it in and mess around with the 30 effects.

Im planning on buying a 16 track multitracker but i just couldnt wait to save up the money. i'm glad i didnt this lil thing rocks. The drum machine takes some time to learn and you can forget about the included 32 meg card (you can get a 64meg card at officemax for 50 bucks) This is a great vehicle for entering the digital recording domain! If your used to analog, the sound quality will knock you out!

Well it would be unfair to write it off .. as it is a nice bit of kit.It has some good features .. but as others have written .. lacks memory space to get really serious. Its a shame they didnt have on board memory like a pc .. id fill it up so i could use all those 32 traks .. but i worked out if u used 32 traks .. even with a 128 card u can only get 1.5 mins of total time !!! thats useless.
Ive given up using it as a recorder .. im gonna get a hard drive recorder .. shame cause 32 tracks would be more than enough .. but lets get real ..
At present im using it at a through fx box & it works very well .. plus i can route my guitar through it .. this saves lots of extra cables. its portable .. so its handy for getting ideas down quik .. oh yeah .. & it looks nice ..

This is my first time to get into the recording arena, and for the price of this machine it is well worth it. I look forward coming home from work every day and laying down a track on the BR532. The manual is sketchy, and does not give many helpful hints on recording. Once you experiment with the recorder, it becomes really easy to use.You also realize that you will spend a boat load of money on other accessories (128MB smart media card, card reader, mixer, mics etc.) just to get things up and running.
