9 out of 10Feature:
Really strong machine . I use it a lot and haven't got any problems yet.
Quality:
Really strong, nothing fancy.
Value:
Very good value. I bought second hand in a shop for 100 euros. I think the price for a new one is now more than 200 .
I would say it's worth the price if you need a strong reliable pedal , if you don't play that much in concerts or just want to have a pedal for home, have a look at zoom products , cheaper, more fancy sounds and gadgets. Work well anyway. But not the quality of the Boss.
Desirability:
The worst or the best apealing... So basic, but I like it like that.
Sound:
I haven't rate 9 because we will have something better one day. But not yet. More usefull with nylon strings guitars with piezzo than metal ones. Anyway, I use it every time I play plugged acoustic.
It really helped me to control things in difficult sounding situations. The top and the bottom controls are more efficent than an equalizer. This pedal gives me what I need , an efficient sound in almost all situations, very easy to control and very stong heavy duty stuff. For unplugged, only in certain circumstances, I use a high quality guitar and I don't use any pedal of course. That's the engineer job, mic and sound...
Ease of Use:
No manual needed. So simple. Just select the proper output, guitar amp or PA.
Overall:
Great tool and Boss have been making it for years. Just perfect for me . I teach music at school , teach guitar after school and have gigs and concerts all year long.

6 out of 10Feature:
Very simple and direct...not too much to worry about or jack with it.
Quality:
Built great, should last a while.
Value:
Just don't think it provides anything of great sound or tone.
Desirability:
I wouldn't buy it again.
Sound:
Doesn't do much for my Taylor with an ES, my Takamine with a piezo, or my PRS Hollowbody II with piezo. Just sounds like crapola.
Support:
Haven't needed to use it.
Overall:
Eh, I would look for something else if you are wanting to enhance acoustic tone.

This thing seems to be built like a tank!
Sound:
I was blown away by how it enhanced my Taylor guitar. I had been pretty protective of my guitar's own sound, but this was a very sweet surprise. It doesn't take away from my guitar's own personality, but makes it shine much brighter. It has truly enhanced my creativity!
