The XENYX 1832FX has 18 inputs and 3 Aux Sends for each channel. Additionally, 2 subgroups with separate outputs have been incorporated for routing flexibility. The new XENYX Mic Preamp matches the sound quality, transparency, headroom and even the dynamic range of boutique-style, stand-alone mic preamps. Neo-classic "British" EQ brings back the warmth and musicality of those '60s and '70s mega-console desks that made music history. The XENYX FX mixers incorporate a new studio-grade 24-bit FX processor. Learn More...

10 out of 10Feature:
Product came with rca to usb converter. I never needed to use it. There are tons of options for signal routing. The eq is nice. I like the feedback eliminator option but, honestly, haven't needed it yet. The karaoke function sounds need but haven't tried it yet. The layout with the effects fader, monitor fader and extra sub faders are very convenient. I was a little fooled by the aux sends...If you use the onboard effects, one send is taken. If you use the monitor, another send is taken leaving you with just one left. I don't really need more but I liked the idea of having a couple free for outboard processing in addition to the onboard.
The eq allows you to choose either mains, monitors or off. I wish I could eq both.
Quality:
So far it's looked and worked great.
Value:
This is a steal at it's current price.
Desirability:
I like the looks, the compact size and the logical layout. I also like the blue monitor and red effects fader channels. Everything is labeled well.
Sound:
It's quiet and does what I need it to do. There are plenty of choices for effects and they sound fine to me. They definitely work fine for live situations. I'm sure there are better effects but I can't imagine somebody in a band with drums blasting their back saying, gee, I wish our effects were better right now. I probably want more for high quality studio applications if you are extrememly experienced with a great ear. Otherwise, this will satisfy any reasonably experienced musician and home recording hobbyist. I had a 16 channel mackie 1604 with my old band that everyone raved about. I loved it but at 3x the price, I can't tell a difference live.
Ease of Use:
The mixer is extremely intuitive and logical. It's easy to use, however, the manual is confusing. For a basic overview it works but if you want to get more complicated with your routing, it's useless. Basically they combined all of the mixers from that line into one manual. So one minute they'll be explaining and showing a picture of the 24 channel then the next the 12 channel. They're not identical so it often doesn't help you. I'm pretty inexperienced with mixers. There are some common things I want do that I can't figure out and the manual doesn't come close to giving me hints. There are no examples shown at all for any types of routing.
Support:
Not needed.
Overall:
I have no need to replace. Maybe, if I acquired a lot more equipment and needed more routing and auxiliaries, I'd consider a 24. However, this is the perfect balance of features and compact size. Once you get into the 22/24's they just get to big to lug around.

9 out of 10Feature:
The main concern for me is a good clean sound with nice effects. I mainly like a moderate amount of reverb for vocals and Saxophone. It is also important to have an easy quick set up.
Quality:
Cosmetically it is very nice. I can't speak to the longentivity at this point. Ask me in 10 years.. By the way I always use a good fitting hard case for all electronics. I think it's a good basic common sense idea. Anybody who has any gig experience knows what I'm talking about.
Value:
very good value
Desirability:
It has good appeal.
Sound:
A very pleasent surprise. I own two soundcraft mixers. The FX -16 and the powerstation with FX. These both have Lexicon effects and are outstanding. I needed a small non - powered mixer for a Jazz quartet that I'm in where we use powered speakers. I wanted something affordable and light weight for this smaller situation. I needed on board effects. I'm use to the Lexicon effects on my other mixers so I'm somewhat spoiled. They are really good. I was all set to purchass the Mackey DFX-12 which has all of the features I need, however I was disuaded by all of the poor reviews concerning the Mackey effects. I read five or six reviews from different sources and they were all dissapointing. I never considered Berhinger products before because I assumed because of the price they were mediocore. However, I looked at some of the reviews on the 1832 and they were all very positive , especially concerning the on board effects. So I went ahead and purchassed the Berhinger 1832 with FX. I have to say I was very impressed with the sound and common sence layout of the board. The sound was very good. I've been useing PA. gear for 35 years and the is one of the better values I've seen. I don't know about the technicial support aspect of Berhinger. I hope to not have to worry about it. Ron Siegel
Ease of Use:
Very easy.
Support:
no experience
Overall:
it is not my primary mixer. I would expect to use it in small situations as long as it held up

8 out of 10Feature:
This has a great many features for the price, which can sometimes be a red flag, since most of the time, feature-laden coupled with inexpensive means that cheap components were used...NOT the case here, as the routing flexibility, onboard FX, aux buses, feedback detection, all work together extremely well. I haven't yet tried the USB 2.0 interface that came with this board, but I have every reason to expect it to perform as promised, based upon the quality of the rest of the unit.
Quality:
Very good build quality...much better than one would have a right to expect at this price.
Value:
Superb value...I considered many other units before settling on this and I have no regrets.
Desirability:
I'm a pragmatist...I want it to sound great and function as advertised...no complaints here. I like the compact size, though.
Sound:
I read a lot of reviews of this product prior to making my decision and one of the things that kept cropping up was how great the mic preamps are. I totally agree...these are awesome sounding preamps, regardless of price. In conjunction with the way the channel eq is voiced, esp with the quasi parametric mids, these things are crisp, clean, capable of nice warmth, since they can be pushed a bit without clipping unpleasantly. Also, the board as a whole is very quiet as long as the gain structure is managed correctly, and there are some very nice, useful effect presets with pretty good transparency, esp the large hall verbs.
Ease of Use:
Not for the faint-hearted or inexperienced. This is, in my opinion, a pro-level board and will require some background in recording and sound reinforcement fundamentals to get the best sounds with it. Also, the manual is not very complete and smattered with unnecessary plugs for the unit (c'mon, guys, I already BOUGHT the darn thing!) All in all though, I had little trouble getting crisp clean high-fi sound from this...YMMV.
Support:
Haven't had cause to call support, but I hear they are very quick and knowledgeble.
Overall:
My last Behringer product was a Eurorack 802A mixer that I bought about 6 or 7 years ago; I still have it and it functions very well. I expect that this new board will last equally well...beyond the point at which I am ready to upgrade/upsize again.

7 out of 10Feature:
the product included the uca 200 u control (usb) which can make me do a recording without so many interface midi i/o connectors. i connect my korg x5d synthesizer directly to a channel in my mixer and get to record the sound i want from my korg synthesizer. i only wish for behringer to add control knos for the input and output for the uca200 u control for addl. flexibility in recording.also if possible to add 2 more subgroups it can become a powerful mini mixer.
Quality:
the finish is quiet good, the color coding of controls, the peak leds are very usefull the e.q. works well and looks good. except for some screws at the side which easily coroded. i used a soft oil to keep corrosion from going into the casing.my unit is only about a month and a half old.
Value:
for a good sound with a decent price,it is worthwhile..
Desirability:
i think it looks decent.
Sound:
the mic preamp of a xenyx 1832fx are remarkable. i use an xm 1800s microphone and a c1 condenser microphone when recording, the sound is very good with the dynamic microphone however, i am not quiet contented with the c1. I am getting a mic200 mic preamp and test its full capability, maybe it will improve.overall, i am pleased with the sound output.my group, when we sing in church, we use a mackie sr32-4-vlz pro mixer, using mackie speakers and 6 x b300 behringers. however, with the price difference of a mackie mixer and behringer 1832fx (which i use at home)i have my money's worth. the sound is warm & pleasing.
Ease of Use:
it is very easy to get the sound you want as all functions really work.
Support:
i would rate this portion low as i had problems at first making it work with my computer and did not get a feedback when i emailed for a question. i may have missed the email ad, but i finally figured out so no problem.
Overall:
i donot intend to dispose this product, as a matter of fact, i'm adding more behringer products to my set up.I can achieve a good sound output at a very affordable cost.can you imagine, if all households can afford to buy a decent mixer for home entertainment.

10 out of 10Feature:
Great features. Equalizer, the voice cut out feature where u can take the voice off a song from a cd, everything lights up, the sound effects are awesome and there really are 100 of them. Also the mic pre amps for condenser mics work perfectly.
Quality:
Great design, easy to see/read/turn knobs/use everything...
Value:
For the price this mixer is great.
Sound:
It sounds almost perfect. I have the mono channel plugged into an adapter that plugs into my computer's microphone jack. Works great.
Ease of Use:
After reading the entire instruction manual it is almost simple.
Support:
It was a little confusing to master all the controls at first, but I downloaded a complete manual on the behringer site and in a half hour after reading it I was an expert.
Overall:
It's my first mixer and I have a condenser mic, a guitar, an electric keyboard, and a digital drum machine all hooked up to it and it handles everything great.

8 out of 10Quality:
Good solid build. External parts seem durable.
Ease of Use:
As always with Behringer products, the manual is absolutely dreadful. The manual covers four different models in the Xenyx series so the text is constantly interrupted with model-specific information - except for model x, also on model y, etc. The language is over-technical and jargon is used when it really isn't necessary. It's as if this manual was written solely for other technical experts rather than musicians trying to learn how to use a new piece of gear.
Support:
When I email a query to the Behringer support team, a reply always comes back within a day or two and it's usually very helpful. They appear to have additional quick guides and application notes for many products. Why these can't be put on the Behringer website along with the regular manuals, I really don't know. It would be helpful.
