Desirability:
I own it!

Didn't (and don't) need it.

I haven't begun to tap all it's uses in a YEAR of recording steadily.

Feature:
The features are great. Everything you need all in one unit. I mean, you got at least 10 amps that costs over $1500 in this one unit. Not to mention different cabinets. I like the AUX IN line, it's really handy with a drum machine or just playing along with a CD.

Quality:
Well, it's hard to believe that all the features its got, fit in this small, lightweight, device. I give them that much. It's made out of plastic, which makes you be more carefull when handling it.

Value:
The value is beyond what you pay for. It has so many uses that I can safely say that I won't be needing an amp probably for the next ten years.

Desirability:
I love the way the lights cascade like raindrops when you turn the VAMP2 on. Sexy!

Sound:
The only reason I give this a 9 is because I own both, POD and VAMP2 and the warmth is a little bit better on the POD but the effects and the VAMP2 just blow it away.

Support:
Only a 9 because I've yet to use it. From what I've seen on the website, I don't see a problem with them.

Overall:
I would keep this product for as long as I'm able to. I think it satisfies my needs as a recording artist and as a guitarist.

Feature:
Great little modeler. I've midied mine into my PC using the free downloadable Behringer interface. Changing presets is point and click simple. Changing effects parameters and levels is point and click simple. Only thing I don't like is that it has no power switch. Solved that with a cheap individual power switch at the wall socket above my desktop studio.

Quality:
I have no quality complaints. I know it is made of plastic. If that freaks you out, buy the PRO version and put it in a rack. I use it to create great sounds not drive nails. I haven't had a single problem in several glorious years of ownership.

Value:
Best money I've spent on guitar related gear in a long, long time. Can you say major league bang for the buck? I knew that you could.

Desirability:
I LIKE the funky guitar shape. I think the V-amp controls are more intuitive than the POD. The LEDs around each control are a plus too! More meaningful than a number would be.

Sound:
If you can't find sounds you like in this little blue wonder, you aren't trying. If you don't like the presets, it is easy to make up your own. I'm using it for digital multi-track recording and couldn't be happier. Auditioned the POD, V-amp and the J-Station. Picked the V-amp. Nuff said.

Support:
Any contacts I've had have been positive. I've called their USA number to get an updated EPROM for the MIDI footboard and they sent it to me free. Can't beat that.

Overall:
I'm going to keep this thing til it croaks or I do. I might get the PRO version or I might try the Bass V-amp in addition to this one. For my studio-based guitar needs this thing COMPLETELY fills the bill.

Feature:
The ability to use MIDI to control the unit with a MIDI pedal was great. The MIDI also came in handy when interfacing with computer software to backup patches and create new ones.

Quality:
I had this for about 5 years and didn't notices TOO many problems. Most of the problems seemed to rise from the power cord (others have noticed this too). There were a few times when I would plug it in, and no sound would come out, or it would be very faint. I would just unplug it and plug it back in, and it would work fine. I started playing in a band recently and it worked fine for a few weeks, but stopped producing sound during a practice. I tried to get it to work, but I decided it would be better to just get the rack mounted version that seems more sturdy. The plastic casing and seemingly faulty power supply is ok for personal use, but not something that would be reliable for actual performance.

Value:
Great price, especially if you're on a tight budget. If you have a little extra to spend, I'd say go for the rack mounted version.

Desirability:
All the lights are pretty, but other than that, it's pretty bland.

Sound:
The sound met my needs for the most part. With all of the different amp/speaker combinations you can have, as well as effects, you can get a very wide range of sounds. It took me a little while to create a good clean tone that didn't distort when it was turned up, but I eventually got it.

Ease of Use:
Everything was pretty intuitive. If you've used an amp to tweak things like bass and treble, you can pick this up quickly. Using it with the FCB1010 pedal takes a little bit to figure out, but it's worth it.

Overall:
Great product except for the durability of it. If it was made out of a stronger material and was more reliable, it would be perfect.

I bought the upgrade and haven't been disappointed. There are numerous ways you can use this thing. I've used it on vocals, acoustic instruments, in the studio and on stage with the extemely reasonably priced midi controller you have immediate access to 2 banks of presets which you can assign different note values to for the simultaneous control of one or more devices. I play guitar and run my vocals through a harmonizer and then through the auxilliary input of the V-amp. Now if it had a loop sampler and an intelligent guitar harmony function it would have just about everything but for the money what can you expect? For my money this device was worth every penny and then some. And by the way I've dropped the V-amp1 4 feet once or twice to a hard surface with no noticable negative effects so it's not very fragile.

Feature:
It would have been too easy to over-engineer the V-AMP2, but they didn't. Let's face it, the thing does some pretty damned complicated stuff. The interface is intuitive so that even a dullard like me can make it work out of the box. The only glaring oversights, and they are related, are the proprietary power plug and the lack of an on/off switch. The only way to power down the V-AMP2 is to pull the plug. Not much of an issue until either end breaks on you...

Quality:
The V-AMP2 is pretty solid, but it is made of plastic. I will crush it, eventually...

Value:
Cheaper than a Marshall replacement knob.

Desirability:
Sure is purtee.

Sound:
I s@@k. I have always s@@ked on guitar, despite the fact I have been playing on-and-off for over 20 years. I guess that's why I am a drummer! Now, thanks to this incredible device, the crap that spews forth from my Gibson sounds GREAT!

Support:
I have yet to destroy it, so I have no experience with customer service. I will say, however, they the website is a wealth of information and links. The best link, IMHO, is the one to a site where a POD owner has hacked all 1000+ of the POD configs and translated them to V-AMP2 format for download. Takes balls to link to that!

Overall:
If this thing worked forever, I would never need another. Yeah, and I said that about my TRS-80...

Feature:
the footswitch needed some getting used to but now i've got it. i especially like how you can plug it into anything. i've had it come out of computer speakers, headphones, amps, but the main use is going through a mixer into a set of speakers which really makes it sound good. the inputs and outputs don't seem as secure as i'd want them to be but they still hold the cables. the carrying case is a great addition, though.

Quality:
great except for the plastic cover but that even seems durable and able to stand falls. the power adapter works fine but i don't like how it has all the delicate pins. my friend bent one of them plugging it in but i was able to fix it in a minute.

Value:
most other products are bad or expensive. plus most are on the floor which i hate because sometimes i need to change something while i'm playing. so this is definitely worth it. i would have bought it at 200 dollars because it's still better than other products at that price

Desirability:
the guitar shape is a little corny but that still looks better than an amp sitting on the floor acting like a 40 pound distortion pedal running to a mixer. the blue is nice and it is very curvy and smooth. this item definitely helps in practice and recording.

Sound:
Sounds great, haven't tried too many settings but still is good. The only thing is that i notice a little humming when palm muting but i might be able to fix that with some adjustments.

Support:
i have never needed any support from behringer because all of my products from them work fine. i'm rating them based on other people's reviews

Overall:
this is overall a great product and the only thing i would change is the quality of the ins and outs. when researching, it was thouroughly explained and i wished for nothing else but to try it out.

Feature:
It comes with a foot switch what more can you ask for.

Quality:
The knobs felt a little cheap but that was the only thing. They stick out a little too much for my taste I'm afraid I might accidently knock it and snap a knob off. I would and do use this product on the road. No more amps or cabs I just plug into the PA and i'm off and running.

Value:
For the price they ask and what you get you should feel like your stealing from these guys. You get a better sounding product than the pod at half the preice.

Desirability:
Looks are such an adolescent concern.. I don't care how it looks I just worry about how it sounds and The V-Amp sounds great!

Support:
I've never had any problems with the unit so I never needed to contac the company so I really don't know about their customer service.

Overall:
I like to keep my gear simple so I plan on owning The V-Amp for a long time. I don't need anything else it's all right here.

Feature:
Really only came with foot pedals to move back and forth between the 5 banks of effects. Other than that, the features ON the pedal are AMAZING.

Quality:
This think will last you a damned long time, as well as give you amazing sound. The only problems I've found are the unique plug in's that behringer use. They break easily if you're not careful.

Value:
Very cheap....Bascially buying a cheap pod, and it's probably even better.

Desirability:
Looks like the body of a guitar...c'mon!

Sound:
This all depends on what you want to do with it. I've found Crate amplifiers worth the best with this processor. The features, and tones you're capible of are unlimited.

Outstanding, EXCEPT, for the fact that there is no on/off switch...what's up with that? The added Footswitch is a very nice feature

Quality:
would have preferred a Metal Casing, but regardless, as long as you don't pound on it with a hammer , it should hold up fine. Knobs and buttons feel secure, and the jacks are tight.

Desirability:
Already Have it!!

Sound:
The variety of Tones available are truly impressive, IMO, The Distorted tones are much warmer than the POD. The Clean Tones are shimmeringly transparent, Add the Chorus and compression and you have some of the richest sounds I've ever heard

Sounds Fabulous, on PC DIGITAL recording (Cubase, Cakewalk), and Analog (1/4" Reel to Reel), and Cassette (Tascam 424) I have used it on all these mediums and it sounds fantastic!
