Feature:
This thing may be the most versatile mixer i've ever used; channel inserts, independant aux sends, two fx processors, and twice as many channels at half the price. But one problem that has been driving me crazy is that the control room out is only one headphone jack, and the neat built in talk to mic, is only send able to the aux sends. That means that i have to route the preformers headphones through aux 1/2, and turn the playback channels aux levels on and off repeatedly, and i had to get a goofy adapter for my monitors.
Quality:
bought brand new. nothing wrong at all, and after about 5 months, nothing has gone wrong.
Value:
its absurd what you get for your money. Just like every other thing behringer makes, its a steal at half the price. I was sure i was buying a piece of crap, but i couldn't resist the 24 channel goodness. Well, i certainly wont be returning it any time soon.
Desirability:
I cant seem to resist more channels and more gear, so it was almost an impulse buy at the time, ( a sure test of desirability). Although, silver isn't really my color.
Sound:
sounds great. The "invisible pre's" add no color to your signal at all. The channel eq's are nothing spectacular, but the main eq has proven really especially useful when using more than one mic.
Ease of Use:
my previous experience with behringer boards, made the learning curve dismal, but learning to use the first one was a bit more engulfing than i would have liked, and i can only assume this model would be worse for a beginner.
Support:
I've only dealt with my dealer about this product.
Overall:
starting an analog, DAW based studio? Don't 1000's for a yamaha or mackie or whatever? Behringer has your back. Its not pro, and it doesn't claim to be, but it get the job done with little cash, minimal hassle, and with the quality you would expect from any other middle class mixer.
