Love this small mixer, it is light weight with a small form factor but still has plenty power. The class D amp is very cool and high temp is not an issue. It is great for my dj gigs in small venues.

I've bought and used many Behringer products throughout the years and have never been disappointed. The little guy is a beast! It pushes my JBL 12" floor monitors with plenty of headroom. The effects are excellent although I only use plate reverb. No phantom power but so what. It does have a wireless microphone adapter built in which I could see useful for MC work. It should easily cost double what I paid and it's so light and compact it will fit anywhere including the top of my guitar amp. Excellent choice for rehearsals, and small crowds.

I am an avid karaoke singer that has always wanted equipment that a professional could use. This unit filled the bill It's powerful, versatile, and has a clean clear crisp sound from highs to lows. For the price, it's the best thing I've found after exhaustive searches and reading many reviews here and elsewhere. You can't go wrong...Pro or amateur. I have not needed Manufacturer support, but it's required to rate it, so I gave it a 5 star rating just knowing they are a top rated company.

This was exactly what I needed for smaller gigs where my 18 channel Behringer unit was excessive and I didn't need all of those inputs.

"Adequate for lower volume rehearsals"

The PMP550M should be fine for smaller, lower volume situations (living rooms, garages, small rehearsal spaces). One big flaw in my opinion is the lack of some kind of monitor output jack, line out, aux out whatever. The only outs on the entire unit are for the two main speakers. Besides that, it has plenty of inputs including an aux in for mp3 etc. Volume is fair (instead of 500 watts total at your disposal think more along the lines of a weakish 100 watts per channel). It is very small and light which is great. The EQ works well, but the feedback reducing feature disables the EQ sliders, with only moderate success in reducing feedback. I have no need to get into the whole fancy, elaborate effects program but the little dollop of reverb I use sounds like what it is - cheap, cold reverb but passable for rehearsal. So... my summary, the good: fine for small low volume rehearsals, plenty of inputs, small, lightweight, easy to operate, lots of effects if you're into that, very affordable. The not so good: This unit would be VASTLY improved with a monitor out jack. It will not get loud enough for a hard hitting drummer or cranked guitars. I question the 500 watt power rating, more like 70 watts individual per channel.

Sounds great and is easy to use. The feedback reduction system actually works quite well. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a nice amp. Time will tell if it lasts as long as my old 25 year old Peavey. For 550 watts, it does not sound as loud as I expected, but it seems to stay clear even at higher settings. Overall a nice piece of equipment.
