"KX1200 great for vocals and drums"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I use this for vocals and drums, its a PA system and the sound quality is superb and plenty of available volume. Its not the best for electric guitars but then it was NEVER designed for them so you cannot fault something its not designed to do. IN fact I have been trying to replace it with a power amp and speakers and failed miserably. Has a full range sound having a 15" driver, bass might not be massive but then its not a subwoofer. Only bad thining are the knobs are too loose and the mixer side is a little weird sometimes, but nothing major.

"This CAT (kx1200) Purrforms Purrowerful Purrsaudesive price"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
As it looks right now this amp will be with us for a long time due to it's versatility and ease of use.
Sound
Great sound, sound quality I was looking for. I get the sound I was looking for and more. In every setting I have used this amp it kicks but (practice, on stage, in the park, in the mall). I use a Kawia K4, Korg c505 concert piano, Yamaha psr172. I plug my tape deck/cd into this amp and play/sample/record all at once. I do not turn the volumes to max, and I try to only have one instrument plugged in at time during gigs.
Features
The 4 lines in with controls is my favorite feature plus tape in and out.
Quality
Sounds good, built good,
Value
I got this baby over a year ago for todays price and it performs well in every situation where I use it
Manufacturer Support
No need for support thus far
The Wow Factor
This baby is sexy, all the controls on the front.

"Excellent buy for the money"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I expect to be satisfied with this product for a long time. It's the best thing out there for the money. The only drawback is that the amp doesn't come with casters.

"First amp, can't complain... on sale for $149.99"

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

If you are a keyboardist, invest in a quality PA system. I purchased two Peavey PR 12's (will be exchanging them for PR 15's for more low end) and a Soundcraft Gigrac Powered Amp/Mixer. You will be much more satisfied. Not a bad purchase for your first amplifier, but do some research and decide for yourself.
Sound
I purchased this product in Early 2005, as my first Keyboard Amp. Sounded great, real loud, projected the Organ, Piano & Synth sounds of my Casio WK-3500 very well for about 6 months, and then my usage of this product slowed down dramatically. Started up again early 2006, no real problems then either, still very loud tones, would crank it to compete with the guitar, bass and drums. But mid 06' I began to notice a decrease in volume presence and a slight crackle and lack of power.. the 15in speaker/woofer blew out in April of this year. Right now it sounds horrible. Sounded great for about a year. Sounded like noise coming from a big black box, rather than the instrument itself.. know what i mean?
Features
Cool direct out slot, fx inputs and yadada. Never used it other than to play back recordings from the jams which were just recorded and to amplify my keyboard.
Ease of Use
Was very easy, plug in the power cable, plug in your instrument, turn on, adjust volume and eq.
Quality
Overall, less than 2 years of use. Owned it for 2 2/5th's year, quality began to decrease mid 06'.
Value
If you are careful with it and keep the volume to a reasonable level and direct out to a pa for louder amplification I am sure this amp would last a while.
Manufacturer Support
Never needed any.
The Wow Factor
It is a black box with a few nobs. It is heavy. Youch.

"KX1200 - terrible for stereo piano"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Sound
This amp is OK for organ sounds and even for a bass guitar. It sounds terrible when used with a stereo keyboard using piano or pad sounds. My moderately priced headphones sound much better reproducing piano sounds than this amp.
The Wow Factor
Would never buy it again. If you only want organ or bass sounds it would be OK. For any type of stereo piano sounds, it is awful, it sounds either very tinny or if you eq to bass very muffled.

Sound
Havent had it long enough to move it around a lot and test it for different enviroments.
Features
Like all the features . Very nice. Use it mostly for input from a Theremin and it is great for that. 3 octaves above and 2 below middle c.
Quality
seems to be on par quality wise with everything else out there and costs less.
Value
far cheaper than other products of same kind.
Manufacturer Support
Have other products from this company. They all work as advertised. No reason to contact them so far.

Sound
This amp was great in the beginning when i first bought it. but just about a month later it completely blew on me. now it sounds muffled and far away. i can't stand it so i'm selling it and buying a new roland kc-550.
Features
the four input jacks are great, you can even use it as a mixer if you wanted. the fine tuning in the sound was great before it blew on me, and now whatever i do it still sounds terrible
Quality

Value
