I read some reviews about these monitors and i decided to try them. One review i read used a rating system of grades and these got a D- (if i recall correctly). That person also said that they have an impressive sound at first but have a harsh high end after a while that really causes fatigue. The other article i read really praised these monitors. If i were to rate these on the grading scale i would have to give them an A! There is no doubt about these speakers, they are good, really good! They have features of more expensive monitors, such as the switches that lets you customize the speakers to your studio environment. I finally have a realistic low end to work with (which is what i was looking for) and the highs are amazingly clear. A great flat response, which has helped me get more accurate mixes. I haven't had to put up wood boards and old rolled up carpets in the corners of the room to dampen the low ends. I also haven't gotten fatigued and believe me i mix a lot! Just read the instructions and try what they recommend, like listening to your favorite bands through them, it will take a few days to get them toatally situated, but once they are you'll be happy. In a review of the Mackie HR824 monitors the most common response was "where's the sub?". The funny thing is that my friend came over and i played a song on the Truths for him and he had the "where's the sub?" reaction. I guess i didn't have to pay nearly $1000 more to get that reaction. Of course you do have to be in the "sweet spot". They really have a good bass response. The only one problem I had with these monitors is that the power switch is in the back of the units. They should have had a front switch, but i guess for the price and performance i can definatley hook these up to a designated power strip through my power conditioner and turn them on that way without moving them. Less is more, and in Behringers case you pay less and get a whole lot more. I mean a whole lot!!!

Feature:
Most everything you need, nothing you don't. Pretty straight forward features, but no corners cut. The room-compensation feature is a BIG bonus at this price point. I'm not the biggest fan of having to dig behind and under to turn 'em on or make adjustments, but if you keep them on stands you'll have no problems.

Quality:
Okay, you should know, I'm pretty darn anal. But overall, these monitors are solid. Great, tight construction, no crap here, especially at this price point. I've heard no rattles or bad sounds from mine. Don't let anyone discourage you with the "Behringer only makes junk copies of the real things" talk. These monitors are built right.

Value:
Plain and simple: by far, THE BIGGEST BANG FOR THE SMALLEST BUCK, especially when compared to ANYTHING in this price range. The Truths give you performance worth much more than what you'll pay for them.

Sound:
These things can hang right there with monitors that cost five time more. Nice, flat response, critical for studio monitoring, but can dress up the highs occasionally...nothing to worry about though.

Support:
Can't comment mmuch here. If I ever have a problem, I'm sure it might be difficult to reach the manufacturer, but isn't that how it goes with everything? I've had no need to call them yet, and I've had them almost two years so far.

Overall:
Once again, if you're a pro studio snob, or someone who thinks you can only get decent quality by paying out your butt for in-fashion brands, don't buy these. But if you're a real person who's not getting James Cameron to fund your projects, the Truths give you what you need and more at this price point. Sure, maybe Behringer "copied" the design, but as long as they sound good to me and I get to keep some of the money I've earned, I see no problem. I'm into principles too...especially the concept of giving commoners access to quality. All in all, maybe Genelecs, Events, or Mackies sound as good or better, but I listened to all of those big-name monitors in this class, and the Truths held their own and more. Why would anyone pay so much more? Oh, I forgot...peer-pressure from the "cool people." Screw that. If you want the biggest bang for your buck, get the Truths.

I have a small home studio. Because my budget is very little, I don't have enough money to buy some expansive "originals", yet all the time I'm trying to buy decent but fairly inexpensive gear. So, I ended up with Behringer. And, man, it was right decision! I don't care if they copy technology from other brands, their products are very well manufactured and very affordable. Best prices!

Other than home, I work at number of studios with high-level equipment and I listened many times some Focusrite preamps, Genelec monitors, Neumanns mics and others. When I bought these monitors, I didn't expect too much, because of price. And then - WOW - I absolutely surprised with such a high quality monitors for that price! Actually, it's VERY same thing as Mackie HR824. They act and sound identical, like same thing in different casing (and for half the price)

OK, Genelecs are the best, but it's not worth paying three times more expensive price to get slightly better result. Compared to this monitors, Genelec sounds diferrent, difficult to say better. The Truths have different bass definition, but not inferior. Treble is even more transparent, IMO.

Until now, I have three products from Behringer (mixer, mic preamp and monitors). I just ordered the fourth one: the B2 microphone. Why? Because my friend used it for vocals on one project and then... he decided to sell his Neumann U87 and buy another computer for that money!

Finally someone makes gear for musicians, not for collectors of expensive things and brands.

Thank you, Behringer !

Feature:
Power cables provided but nothing else. Quality speaker cables would have been a nice addition but no complaints.

Quality:
I can find absolutely nothing negative regarding the quality. I bought "B STOCK" but I still cannot find anything wrong with regard to fit, finish and most importantly sound. Be careful unpacking as they are about 31 pounds out of the box. Really, it doesn't sound like much but the weight will surpise you. Get a grip!!!!!!

Value:
You won't find anything of this quality (sound) for this money. I heard and compared several in this price range i.e. Alesis, Fostex,Yamaha, Tannoy, Event, etc., and nothing compared with this "bang for the buck".

Desirability:
You'll want it too after to hear them. No disappointment here! Very nice to look at and honey to the ear.

Sound:
Perfect for mixing my own material and I am hearing sounds on old CD's that I never knew were there. Simply remarkable sound quality and not just "for the money" for any amount. They can also be adjusted for room conditions which you won't find on many competitve products. Nothing added to the sound, so if it's "crap" you know it's "crap".

Support:
Have not had the need to contact them and don't think I will.

Overall:
I guess some day I will grow out of these and take "the big bite" for Mackies. I can't really hear (the most important thing) any appreciable difference in monitors that are twice this price. Go somewhere where you can listen to many different monitors on the same song. The "Truth" is, you will choose these.

Feature:
I can't believe the flexibility this speaker offers at such a modest price. Heck! even for 3 times the price, the input trim, power mode, low frequency adjustment, room compensation, high frequency compensation and the ability to mute each driver to perform troubleshooting is unbelievable.

Quality:
Very well built and hefty. Solid enclosure. Quiet electronics.

Value:
I can't imagine any better deal on monitor speakers! This must be the deal of the century.

Desirability:
Very appealing as far as monitors go. Nice and unobtrusive design. Although the speakers are somewhat larger than I expected, they are not too large to interfere when placed on a properly setup workstation.

Sound:
I went back and forth for quite some time with the Truth B2031 and the Mackies. I was very leary because of some of the somewhat negative comments however, the final selling point was the price. I figured that even if I didn't like them, the $300 selling price would not break me, and I could always pick up the Mackies. The sound is incredible! Clear, open and accurate. I do not regret my decision at all. For the price, this speaker can not be beat.

Support:
Just picked these speakers up however if the build quality is any indication, I don't anticipate needing contact with any support people.

Overall:
I expect to have these speakers for a long, long time. I still find the value of these hard to believe. Although I will probably pick up the Mackies one day (in the future), these will stay with me. I also plan on obtaining other monitor speakers to have a variety of speakers to compare the final mix sound on. I am sure glad that these are the first powered speakers I chose.

So far my discovery has been this: Behringer hits an unbeatable price point with nearly every product they've introduced to the market. I'm very impressed with quality and sound for a product with such an affordable price. I own a pro studio and we have all the great brand names the pro engineers like to brag about--but we also own these because we believe in giving new products a chance and a real listen-- up against the best. I've owned many reference monitors and these certainly do compete well against some of the best. Behringer reminds me a now well known company the makes high quality studio condenser microphones, Rode. Behringer based in Germany--just like Neumann and Senhiesser, and Mercedes Benz--But Behringer hits the introductory market the best of the bunch--- These monitors ARE a great buy.

The Truth Monitors are pro quality and sound. I A/B ed them against Event 20/20 and the Mackie HR824. Hate Behringer if you want... and waste your money on others that hold on cause some cats hate to give in to low cost high quality. My goal is to make quality music not blow money so I can think someone really cares I have Mackie's . Use your ears those should define your decision. I thank Behringer for being there for the real musicians versus the braggers. I am now waiting to hear the reviews on the Behringer Ultra-Voice VX2000 - if they give Presonus VXP a run for to money I will surely get one.

Feature:
The speakers feature 1/4" and XLR inputs (balanced or unbalanced), a built-in limitter (with an LED indicator). There are a lot of calibration options, including an input trim, low/high mutes, frequency attenuation switches designed to compensate for a subwoofer, room placement, and high frequency damping.

Quality:
The materials are quality. The speakers are EM shielded so you can use them next to a monitor. The construction is nice and solid. Nothing jiggles around, even at very high volumes.

Value:
They offer the best price/performance ratio in the business.

Desirability:
They look nice, and they sound great. Excellent product.

Sound:
The sound is quite nice. The frequency response is very flat, with some slight wavering between 13khz and 20khz (+/- 2-3dB). There is a very minor slope between 50hz and 10khz. Subjectively, they sound very flat (in a good way).

Support:
I've never had to call them. I don't know what their service is like.

Overall:
I'll want to augment them with a subwoofer, but I'd say the same about any of the many near-field monitors I've used in the past.

Anyone looking for studio monitors that are loud, clear, with sparkling stereo imaging and with plenty of bass extension at a great price, will not find a better deal than the B2031 Truth Monitors. I've had mines for 4 months now, and they've handled every kind of music I've thrown at them with style and grace, from Gospel, Classical, R&B, Hip-Hop, Newage, Pop & Rock. I would highly recommend the B2031 Truth Monitors to anyone.

I am not a employee or know an employee of behringer, so i have no wrong intentions. These are great monitors, very flat, very full and just plain sound amazing. I live in brooklyn and have used many different monitors and these CAN sit right along with those $1000-2000 range of top line speakers like genelec and mackie. Those germans know what to d and how to do it inexpensive. buy em you wont be sorry.
