Feature:
The great feature of the selectable switch for bass roll-off and addition adds versitility to the mike's use.

Quality:
Made well for what it is. Plastic is durable but not bulletproof. Reasonable care should keep these performing for quite a long time. Not dropping or tossing into cases should help keep them longer.

Value:
I check prices on the BRAND NAMES and BRAND X. Always read the specs. They will usually (unless they lie) tell you what the mike is capable of. Price or name doesn't always guarantee that you have a perfect item. Do your homework, think outside the box, you will find deals. This is a deal.

Desirability:
Looks great, conversation piece, along with sounding great. I have one.....want more!!

Sound:
The sound quality is fantastic. Even though it is billed for low frequency sound, it captures acurately the high end also. I have used it to mike drums (bodrhan, drumsets), and flute (native, tin whistle), all in the normal mode and it provides a very stable, clean reproduction of the source. Guitars and Tuba no problem, it can do them all.

Ease of Use:
This mike can be set up easily whether you are using just the mixer EQ, or add-on processors. It can be trimmed to give you the response you need. Adjusting is easy when all of the sound is present. Given the bandwith it is able to hear, it provides an acurate reproduction of what is placed before it.

Support:
No need yet.

Overall:
I will use this for a long time. I will always look for better products at a good deal. I need these sometimes in quantity, so price has some consideration. But good operations, sound, price, ease of use, and specific application will keep me using the "KICK" for a while.

Feature:
The Eq switch is a great feature.

Value:
High SPL for a low price.

Desirability:
This thing looks awesome. Once you have one, all your friends who see it will want one. Be the cool guy and buy it first.

Sound:
Bass response, with clarity. Eq switch is nice.

Overall:
Heres the deal. This is an awesome microphone. I've used it on a number of things. I love it on a bass cab. It made my Djembe sound awesome, and it was able to handle the loud low THUMP that it produced. Along with clarity. The thing that I haven't heard many people say is that this is not just for bass. It captures the high end as well. Meaning, you can use it for vocals, and miking guitar cabs. Skip the Blue Ball, Get the Kick Ball, and also buy the 8Ball. Small note, these are now made in China. Blue mics are made in the US, except the Ball mics. They are made in China. Not Latvia. Years ago they were made there, along with all other blue mics. Years ago. So don't complain when you see the made in China sticker. Who cares.
