Feature:
DI is a huge plus if needed at a gig, and I love the push button treble and bass boost so during an effect or solo you can pop it on real quick, optional pedal for these as well if I read the manual right. Only thing I wish it had was a mute button for the speakers, so I don't have to power up and down the amp during jam breaks. The VU meter is just the right touch of vintage that I like. Would have been a nice boost to see indicator lights on the push button controls so you can tell at a glance when they are engaged.
Quality:
I bought B stock of this item and have yet to see or hear ANYTHING that would give that away. It's very solid and the grate is nice and thick. The knobs feel like butter. The only issue is the push button controls. They feel a bit weird, it's not a satisfying click when you engage, kinda mushy.
Value:
For the b stock price I payed, I feel like I stole this amp. An incredible value. If I had payed full price, I would have liked to have seen better push button controls and indicator lights, but the sound quality makes up for these.
Desirability:
This thing looks slick. It has just enough vintage touch to it with the VU meter and even the name badge on it. The blue speakers just sets it apart from everything else, it's not overdone like what the pics might show.
Sound:
What can I say, I did a blind leap of faith with this amp in a time crunch but did my research. The sound quality is very tight, not overly boomy and muddy.I tend to play with a brighter crisper sound and this setup delivers. Playing with the EQ I was able to get anything from a great bright slap sound to a deep, mellow sound. Keeps it's tight sound at higher levels as well. I haven't hooked up a 15" extension cab yet, but if your looking for shake your chest lows, your gonna need it. Hit the subharmonic button (essentially an octave lower note is played with your note) you will probably be shaking pictures off the walls. The lows are surprisingly good coming from 10" speakers. I don't have a high dollar bass, but this amp fools a lot of people into thinking I do.
Ease of Use:
Plug it in, dial up your eq, and bam your done. Nothing to technical about this amp. I had found my tone in about 20 minutes.
Support:
Haven't had to deal with them yet.
Overall:
The sound quality is great and I haven't heard anything close to it at this price range. I would rebuy this amp in a heartbeat. Ashdown has my support.
