10 out of 10Feature:
The Rotary effect works great with Organ sounds to create a hammond sound
Quality:
This is a cheaper made Amp then Rolands but its half the price what do you expect
I love the amp and its sounds great

You can't get an amp this good for this cheap on the planet

I love this amp its huge to deal with but sounds great and works well
Sound:
This is a great Deal for the price of 200 to 300 bucks
Ease of Use:
Super easy to move around and hook up

10 out of 10Sound:
The controls are super sensitive, but once I got that under control, adjusting to my personal preferences was a breeze. The Sumo 300 makes the M-Audio ProKeys 88 sound just like the Yamaha 7ft. Concert Grand Piano its digital sampling was taken from. Am I a happy camper? YES!!
Support:
Time will only tell.
Overall:
A Blowout Bang For The Buck.

10 out of 10Feature:
Don't count on this replacing either on-board synth effects or a standalone unit. The reverb and other effects are pretty weak.
Quality:
I wouldn't count on this amp making it across the country on a 6 month tour but it's robust enough to sit in the back of the van with the other gear. I'm a little suspect of the handle on the back (feels cheap) but we'll see. So far, it's been fine.
Value:
A bargain for sure. I think it's pretty much worth what you pay for. You would have to pay twice as much to get half as much quality.
Desirability:
I'm not sure there's any sex appeal for this model. I bought it because I needed a keyboard amp for band rehearsals and didn't want to spend more than $500.
Sound:
Nice dynamic range and very, very quiet. Plug in a set of headphones and there's practically no surface noise. I assume the same would apply to the XLR line outs but I haven't tried this yet.
I noticed a lot of negative comments regarding volume from other reviewers. I use this as a practice amp with a 6 piece band and have no complaints. If you're thinking that you can use this to play out, and not use a PA, forget it. Otherwise it's plenty loud enough to use as a practice amp.
Ease of Use:
Pretty much plug and play, like most amps.
Support:
I've had good luck with Alesis in the past so this rating is based on a past review, more than any contact I've had to make on this piece of equipment.
Overall:
Great Value pretty much sums up this amp. Very decent sound, nice features, and a low, low price make for a keyboard amp worth what you're going to pay for it.

10 out of 10Feature:
I love the built-in effects. The flange is especially useful for the rhythm section I create.
Quality:
I had to rate it low on this because only one of them worked out of the box. The repair guy I took it to showed me the wiring inside and there was no sauter at all. It was like they forgot to connect the leads to the speaker at the factory, or maybe they used so little sauter it just fell off in shipping.
Value:
Definitely worth the money for the sheer volume of sound you can crank out of these bad boys.
Desirability:
Love the little blue Alesis logo in the front. Tr

10 out of 10Feature:
DID NOT COME WITH ACCESSORIES, BUT HAS ALL THE FEATURES AND OPTIONS I WILL EVER NEED - THE MASTER VOLUME AND CHANNEL VOLUME CONTROLS ARE SENSITIVE AND HANDY - THE EFFECTS ARE RICH AND NOT TOO PRONOUNCED AS TO DRASTICALLY ALTER THE CORE QUALITY SOUND - SOME AMPS HAVE OPTIONS THAT YOU WONDER IF ANYONE WOULD EVER USE - THIS ONE HAS FUNCTIONAL CHOICES THAT GIVE ME THE SOUND I WANT AND NEED - SOMETIMES I PERFORM SOLO FOR SMALL PARTIES - THE MIC INPUT IN THE FIRST CHANNEL SOUNDS GREAT - THE QUALITY OF THE KEYBOARD SOUND DOES NOT DIMINISH WHEN THE MIC INPUT IS USED, MAKING THIS A NICE COMPACT UNIT FOR SOLO GIGS.
Quality:
THIS IS THE HEAVIEST OF THE THREE AMPS I'VE TRIED, BUT THAT WEIGHT SEEMS TO EQUAL BETTER QUALITY - I ASSUME THE SPEAKER CONFIGURATION AND GUTS ARE SOLID AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE WEIGHT - THE BUILT IN CASTORS MAKE THE WEIGHT A NON-ISSUE - EASY TO HANDLE AND TRANSPORT - THE FACTORY QUALITY CONTROL IS EXCELLENT - I HAVE HAD IT FOR A YEAR AND HAVE HAD "0" PROBLEMS - I FULLY TRUST IT - I TAKE IT ON THE ROAD ALL THE TIME - IT HAS BEEN BANGED AROUND A LOT, BUT THE SOLID CONSTRUCTION SEEMS UNPHASED BY THE ABUSE I GIVE IT - I ASSUME IT WILL LAST A LONG TIME
Value:
THIS AMP IS A STEAL FOR THE PRICE - THE ROLAND I TRIED THAT COST $100 MORE WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE QUALITY OF MY ALESIS.
Desirability:
THIS AMP LOOKS BEAUTIFUL ON STAGE - THE CHROME CONTROLS ON THE INTERFACE CONTRAST WELL WITH THE BLACK FRONT - I LOVE THE ALESIS INSIGNIA THAT LIGHTS UP IN A NEAR NEON BLUE ON THE FRONT OF THE AMP JUST BELOW THE CONTROLS WHEN THE POWER IS ON - GREAT LOOK AND FEEL
Sound:
THIS IS A GREAT SOUNDING AMP FOR THE MONEY - I PREVIOUSLY OWNED WHAT I THOUGHT WERE DECENT QUALITY ROLAND AND BEHRINGER KEYBOARD AMPS, BUT WAS NOT REAL SATISFIED - I BOUGHT THEM ON 30 DAY TRIALS, GOT MY MONEY BACK, AND MY THIRD TRY WAS THE ALESIS SUMO 300 - SINCE THIS AMP COST b$100 LESS THAN THE EQUIVALENT ROLAND, I WAS NOT EXPECTING GREAT THINGS - TO MY DELIGHT, THE SOUND WAS A LOT BETTER THAN THE OTHER 2 PRODUCTS - I USE IT FOR MY KORG TRITON LE KEYBOARD - IT HAS GREAT TREBLE AND BASS - THE ROTARY SOUND EFFECT IS AWESOME - THE SPEAKERS DO NOT DISTORT AT HIGH VOLUMES MAINTAINING A HIGH QUALITY SOUND AT ALL VOLUMES - I PLAY IN A BLUES/ CLASSIC ROCK BAND AND IT REALLY SCREAMS! - VERY SATISFIED!
Support:
I HAVE NOT DEALT WITH THE COMPANY AS I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE UNIT - A FRIEND OF MINE IS AN AWESOME KEYBOARD PLAYER AND HAS OWNED AN ALESIS KEYBOARD FOR OVER 10 YEARS - HE REPORTS NEVER HAVING A PROBLEM WITH IT IN ALL THAT TIME - HE RECOMMENDED I TRY THIS COMPANY'S AMPS - BASED ON HIS EXPERIENCE I DON'T ANTICIPATE NEEDING ANY REPAIRS FOR A LONG TIME, IF EVER.
Overall:
I PLAY BLUES AND CLASSIC ROCK IN SMALL BARS, CLUBS AND FOR PRIVATE PARTIES - IT HAS ALL THE GUTS AND QUALITY SOUND THAT I'LL EVER NEED FOR THESE VENUES - I DON'T PLAN TO CHANGE MY PERFORMANCE SETTINGS AS I'M A ROCKIN' ROLL RELIC AT AGE 55 - I HAVE NO REASON TO CHANGE EQUIPMENT AS LONG AS THIS ONE IS STILL GOING - HAVING RESEARCHED EVERYTHING OUT THERE, THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY!

10 out of 10Feature:
Excellent 4 channel amp with awesome built in effects. The back wheels with the back handle was a very nice touch. Roland and Peavey doesn't have the built in effects. The Alesis Sumo 300 can also be linked to another amp for stereo sound.
Quality:
Same cosmetic features as the newer Peavey KB/A amps. Biggest drawback. The amp has tendency to shut off automatically if pushed near it's peak. This is a disaster during live situations.
Desirability:
Nothing spectacular but front purple Alesis logo light is cool.
Sound:
Very clean, bright sounding amp with quite a bit of punch. Not quite on the same level as the big boys of Roland KC 550 and Peavey KB/A 300 as far as power is concerned. But it definitely serves its purpose. The interior effects are a big plus. As I said before it's a great sounding amp.
The bottom line:
I was curious about Alesis being a new line of amps and was impressed at the time during the demo but bottom line if I had to do it all over again I would rather spend $400 on a used Roland KC 550 instead.
Support:
Have yet to need to call.
Overall:
I probably keep it until it blows which may not be long. So I will probably be looking for a Roland or peavey real soon. If I had known about the amp shutting down during peak playing I would not have purchased it. Again very clean sound. If you were to compare all three amps (Alesis,Peavey, and Roland) at the same volume then the Alesis will definitely compete for sound quality but once you crank those amps up, Alesis falls way short.
