Feature:
No battery, AC only ...but has built-in PS. It's fine for home use. Perfectly good for jamming along with a CD or use it as a tool to learn song/solo or to transcribe music. It's a bit heavy & bulky for a portable unit (but well-built.)

Quality:
Seems very well built, sturdy. Nice clear blue display. Chrome face is nice. I feel it's a reliable unit. This is very much designed for home-use.

Value:
A bit pricy for its purpose but it's a good tool for guitarists/hobbyist.

Desirability:
Nice design but a bit bulky...

Sound:
Preset guitar effects are decent, some are actually are pretty good. You can tweak 'em. CD sounds fine. Slow down too much (more than 40%) would still useable but not as clear. I use headphones and volume at about level 2-3 is plenty loud already. Has 1/4" OUTs so you can hook up to external speakers or mixer/amp.

Ease of Use:
Lots of knobs and buttons - Very easy to use The only manual reference you would need is for tweaking the effects; otherwise, it's intuitive & well design lay out.

Overall:
I've used the Tascam unit before this and the Playmate Guitarist, to me, is a better & quality product.

Feature:
The item comes with an AC adapter, which is a nice add on. You do need a good set of headphones or speakers in order to operate it. You can adjust tempo speed, give different effects to the guitar, change the pitch, transpose, etc.

Quality:
No flaws or blemishes noticed.

Value:
It's worth the money.

Desirability:
It's mainly been used for practice, at least thus far. The design is sleek, and simple (with one knob controlling one feature).

Sound:
This is a great tool for learning new and difficult songs. Sound quality is great too. Your guitar playing comes through as clear and as loud as you want it to, or you can balance it with the CD.

Support:
I have not had to deal with customer service.

Overall:
If this product was lost or stolen, I would definitely seek to replace it. It was chosen over another similar product due to the suggestion of a dealer I spoke with. It was just what I needed.
