10 out of 10Feature:
The gel frames, cans, bulbs and holders all work very good. My only thought (and the reason it got an eight and not a ten) is that the green and blue gels don't give off a whole lotta light. Would propable be better going with a different color than what is supplied with the lamp. And as in with any lamp, it is going to look better with a fog macine or hazer.
Quality:
The cans, bulbs and gels are adaquate.
Value:
I think the value of this product is great. My friends band played a gig without any lights but the house lights. Did that make for a romantic setting (ha,ha). Seriously, its one more piece of the puzzle that is going to get you more gigs than not having anything!
Desirability:
The chrome polished cans do add a look of flash to the stage. They also help get you noticed.
Sound:
A very simple product, really just a light socket and bulb casing. However, they do look really cool. Also, let me stress this point. These lights need some "support" equipment (i.e. dimmer, controller) to really do you any good. but if you get the right equipment to do your show justice, you will get the benefits!
Support:
no need to deal with company - yet! Bulbs do burn out!
Overall:
Overall, they are just one small piece of the puzzle for putting together a light show. However, they are a very neccessary piece to that puzzle. Its one of those products that takes a lot of equipment to get it done right, like a PA system! But, getting a light show put together, puts you one step ahead of the next band. Espcially those that do not have lights!
