Sound:
Has the much adored and most sought after "british" sound.
Great Pre's!
Feature:
6 configurable auxs, a mono main out that can be configured as a sub out to run off of aux 6, built in effects, eq, the list goes on and on. Lots of Pro features on a 16 channel board. If there is something this board doesnt have, you dont need it, you just think you do.
Ease of Use:
It doesnt do everything for you, like some boards, but if you know what you are doing, this board is just like all other pro-level boards. the only bummer is having to remove the bottom panel to set jumpers to change some non-standard settings. most of these none of us will ever need to change, but in those specific instances, you will need to remove the bottom panel.
Quality:
Its allen and heath. what else is there to say? the pots are bolted to the panel, only high quality parts are used etc......
you get what you pay for!!!
Value:
I know this board is pricey, but you do get what you pay for with this board. The effects are fine. No its not a lexicon, or other high quality external effects processor, but they do work and they do sound good for being built in. The 6 auxes and all of the other pro level features that one would actually use make this board worth it. Many of the other smaller consoles dont come close in features, which makes this board a great value in my eyes.
Manufacturer Support:
Havent needed them yet.........so i cant say.
The Wow Factor:
not the prettiest board, a&h ZED line is prettier, even mackie has some good looking boards, but this sexier than any behringer, peavey, or yamaha board of this size.
Overall:
Might not be the prettiest, or the cheapest, but the quality, sound and features list is unmatched in this category of mixing console. Ive said it before....you get what you pay for.
You could spend less, but you wont be happy in the long run. Might as well pony up and get something that will last you for years to come.

Sound:
I used to use Mackie boards for my home recording. I switched to this Allen and Heath, and now my mixes have come alive.
Feature:
Remove the plastic covers and bam!...there are the rack rails. I've rack mounted it with my metered sound card (AudioFire12) above. The inputs just drop down out of the way so now the meters are above my board. Brilliant.
Dual sweepable mids, at this price? It makes it worth having no sub mix (6 aux's make up for it too).
Ease of Use:
Great. Typical board, with a few exceptions.
Quality:
Unbelieveable. Each strip has it's own phantom power, virtually eliminating bleed between tracks.
Value:
I can't stress enough how many features there are that make you say "at this price?" This is THE 16-channel mixer for around $1K.
Manufacturer Support:
They actually helped me figure out the jumpers.
The Wow Factor:
I love the color. There are covers for the rack rails. It converts for rack mounting or table top.
Overall:
If you get a chance to try one of these boards out and compare it to the competition, you will be blown away at the quality of the sound coming out of this unit.
