Sound: The tone on this simply blows away the Digitech RP series or any of the Boss pedals IMO. After programming some of my personal settings, I noticed that the Reverbs and Chorus on this, ring out and sound nice and clear, while the distorions are bright and crisp and not sterile and muddy sounding. The Acoustic stimulator on this is the best I've ever heard, bar none! Feature: It comes with a Guitar Pick, a John 5 Poster (Gee just what I always wanted. LOL!), a message card from John 5 and here's what I've found to be helpful, a card that has all the display translayions, which I've found to be helpful in case you're playing out somewhere and want to change a setting on the fly. A 9 volt adaptor is included which will help you save money on battery use. This is small enough to fit into a gig bag I'm sure. The casing is made of solid plastice while the bottom is made of Metal with rubber sliders. Ease of Use: Here's where I had some trouble at first. Maybe it was me, but I had some trouble comprehending the instruction manual, so I went to www.gearwire.com ,where they have a video that shows you how to set this up and how to program your settings. Once you got that down, working with this is a breeze. After seeing the video,I had this pedal mastered within 5 minutes. Quality: It seems to be very well made to me, but then again I've always have been a firm believer in taking care of your equipment and not abusing it. I used to have a Digitech RP-50 that I used on stage for several years without any problems, so I feel that this should last just as long , if not longer providing I keep it which I'm sure that I will. Value: This is the best pedal going today for $50.00 IMO. If you're on a low budget or are a beginner guitarist who wants to add some effects to their setup, then I reccommend that you go out and get this pedal today! This sounds like a $200.00 pedal as far as I'm concerned. I'm using this with my 2006 Fender Strat and a 2009 Fender Frontman 65R and the difference is amazing! Manufacturer Support: Haven't had to deal with them. The Wow Factor: Red's a nice color! Overall: This one is a keeper as far as I'm concerned!

"What are you waiting for buy this pedal its dirt cheap for what you get!!!!!"
Sound: I only gave john 5 it a 7 because fresh out the box allot of the patches were weak and lacked bite, but after a good twenty min. of messing with I got plenty of dirt on all the tones I plan to use. Let me tell you dollar per dollar you cant beat the sound, I challenge anyone to find a better pedal in the same price. All in all Despite the tweaking needed it gives you tons of those nice john 5 tones out of the box. Feature: This thing is great it comes with almost all the features you could hope to find in a more expensive zoom pedal. and you can take it a step further and add an expression pedal or a foot switch. Ease of Use: as I stated this thing only took me only a little while to program and adjust the john 5 tones I would be using plus my own tones (though I do own a G.9 all the zoom controls are always basic and simple to use without even reading the manual). Its also a freakin' ball to customize and experiment. Quality: Having gotten used to the more recent g series pedals I feel they are way better built being die cast and all. Though the g1j is made of plastic by no means does it feel flimsy, But none the less I wouldn't over look the warranty either. Value: As I already stated you cant beat the price. Manufacturer Support: they have my favorite kind of support the kind I've never had to use. and I've already had my g9.2tt for about 2years and I still haven't needed to call the company yet (knock on wood). The Wow Factor: the color is nice and eye catching, I like red. but as far as sexy I guess thats as sexy as a pedal gets without being a newer g series. Overall: as far as satisfaction is concerned I can't complain I bought it simply so I could get some of those john 5 tones that are hard to dial in but to my surprise I got more than what I was expecting. The only way I'd replace this is if I broke it or a new john 5 modal came out, need be I'd buy it again at the same price, even at 100 bucks I'd buy it again.
