I have one of the first SLG 100's made, and boy, was I disappointed. Weak sound, uneven balance, but good workmanship and playability. So, imagine my surprise when I started to see top pros playing the SLG 130NW on jazz gigs and in magazines like Just Jazz Guitar. I decided to buy a new one from Zzounds hoping that the original problems were fixed. Boy, were they ever! This instrument is gorgeous to look at, is easily portable, and CAN BE USED TO PERFORM! This new model has an ebony fretboard measuring a full 2" at the nut, an output signal that'll knock your socks off, and a finish to die for. I am hard to please, having played classical guitar for 45 years. I've tried stick-on pickups, solid body electric classicals, not to mention some VERY expensive electic/acoustic guitars - but the SLG 130NW is my new favorite. I resisted for four years, but I'm sure glad I took the chance. You will be, too. WOW!

Musical Background:

I've played for 52 years, have a Master's in classical guitar, and also play acoustic jazz.

Musical Style:

Classical and Jazz.
