Featuring a 12 x 6 in. or 13 x 6.5 in. shell made of 7 plies of Oak, the Musashi snare drum has the right balance of "crack" and warmth to fit into most musical situations. You can tune it high and tight or back it down to make this one of the most versatile drums on the market.
For the 12 in. snare, an included groove wedge gives you the added ability to play a cross-stick for ballads not possible on other 12-inch drums.
12 x 6 in. Oak Shell
The 12 x 6 inch shell is ideal as a secondary drum to complement the usual 13 in. or 14 in. snare drum. You can tune it high and tight or tune it down to get a fatter tone with a lot of body. Oak has a great balance of high-end and warmth, making this drum versatile enough to fit into almost any musical situation.
13 x 6.5 in. Oak Shell
The Oak shell is bright but the 6.5 in. depth gives it lots of body. This drum works well as a secondary side snare or as your main snare drum in virtually any musical situation. Manufactured using our exclusive air-seal system, the shell vibrates freely for better resonance and it will stay round in any climate.
Matching Black Groove Wedge
The 12 in. Musashi comes complete with a Groove Wedge so that you can play a cross stick rim shot for ballads.
Extra Deep Snare Beds
The snare beds are cut at 2.7mm so that the snares will lay flat across the snare head and reducing the tendency to vibrate when you play your bass drum and toms.
Minimum contact strainer and butt
The B-type strainer and butt are designed to mount with minimal contact to allow the drum to resonate and give you better response and sensitivity.
