The Sounds of the Yamaha DTXPRESS IV Standard
Yamaha started by re-sampling all of their kits to provide an amped-up new sound-set that will impress even the pickiest of ears. The DTXPRESS IV Standard features 50 pre-set kits with space for 20 user kits and more than 400 drum, cymbal and percussion sounds. The set even includes a 3-zone snare pad and two 3-zone cymbals so that it feels
like the acoustic drums that it sounds like. This means that the edge, plate and bell of the cymbals each sound different so that striking in different spots results in different sounds. Exactly like an acoustic kit.
DTXPRESS IV Standard: Less Expensive Than A Human Teacher...But Still Pretty Darn Effective
Yamaha understands that it sometimes just ain't practical to hire a real, live human drum teacher. The DTXPRESS IV kit has a number of educational resources built right into it's advanced brain that are great for chop building. For starters, there's an on-board metronome to get you groovin' in time and a "groove check" mode to make sure that you stay that way. It's got 3 demo songs, 41 practice songs, 19 pad songs and 20 user songs across multiple styles to help you develop versatility. On top of all that, the DTXPRESS IV has an advanced recording mode that makes it a breeze to track drum parts and play them back to hear exactly what needs improvement. You can't improve your playing if you can't tell what you're doing wrong, right? Right.
DTXPRESS IV In One Word: Versatility. And Practicality. Ok, two words...
The DTXPRESS IV lets you bring a huge gig-bag of drum and percussion kits to every gig, recording date and practice session. Need to pull up a break-beat kit for a techno number? No problem. Brazilian song require a Brazilian percussion kit? Of course, just select pre-set kit #9 and you're ready. Simple. Yamaha also had the good sense to provide 20 user-kit slots and an intuitive interface that makes it easy to design and save your own kits from the more-than-400 drum, percussion and keyboard voices. In short, the DTXPRESS IV Standard lets you have all the kits you need in one place...at all times. Handy, isn't it?
