Extra Transmitters for your X2 Digital Wireless System
Q: Is it possible to use multiple transmitters with one base?
A: Yes - it is possible to use multiple transmitters with one receiver unit as the receiver unit is not locked to a specific transmitter. However, the transmitter must be on the same channel as your receiver to be able to receive transmission. If you wish to use two transmitters at the same time (as in simultaneous operation) you will need one receiver for each transmitter.
Q: Will I have problems with noise when switching between multiple transmitters?
A: When operating multiple transmitters the easiest way is to put them all on the same channel. Only have the unit you are currently using turned 'on'. When you go to make an instrument change, simply turn the one you have been using 'off' and then turn the one you are about to use 'on' making sure to keep the same channel selected. The receiver will auto mute when there is no transmitter 'on' so it will not create any noise while making the switch.
