The Warwick Double Buck brings a strong neck-thru design to an already powerful bass design. Instead of just making the Corvette Standard into a neck-thru, Warwick wanted to create something special. They combined a Bubinga body with a Maple/Ekanga neck and a Wenge fingerboard, then added the wildly popular Double Buck pickups and electronics, resulting in a phenomenal bass that has stunningly good looks and unmatched tone.
Warwick Construction
Warwick bass guitars are a unique synthesis of craftsmanship and technology. No other basses -- indeed few instruments of any kind -- are designed and manufactured with such diligent attention to detail. Their designs are classical without being adventurous. The neck-through body construction is achieved through a specialized and elaborate construction process ensuring that the through neck is invisible from the front. The bridge, tailpiece and pickups are fitted to the same substantial solid piece of wood -- not just to a veneer. All of which contributes to the rich sound and stability of the finished instrument.
