Washburn Guitars -- In the Game Since 1883

Washburn has been working to bring you the best in instrument playability and sound since the late nineteenth century. Manufacturing ukuleles, banjos, mandolins, guitars, and other fretted instruments, Washburn's modest beginnings in Chicago have grown into a brand that's a huge player in the genres of rock, blues, and folk. Your WCG25SCE Comfort Series guitar is another axe in a long line of amazing instruments ready to hit the stage.

Curvy Spruce and Rosewood Body with Armrest

A solid spruce top will keep your tone tight and crisp with every strum, while rosewood keeps your resonance nice and dark with plenty of warmth and sustain. As a guitar tonewood, rosewood delivers a timbre similar to mahogany with a healthy emphasis on the low and middle frequencies. The spruce top features an armrest -- a convenient read more curve right where your forearm rests as you play -- a detail that not only looks appealing, it also allows you to play for hours comfortably. That's what the Washburn Comfort Series is all about.

Mahogany Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard

Get your fingers ready -- the Washburn WCG25SCE's 20-fret rosewood fingerboard is addicting to the touch. Mahogany makes for a great neck wood, bringing a nice helping of sustain to the table. And the Venetian cutaway allows for easy access to those higher frets -- a must-have feature when you hear this acoustic-electric sing.

Fishman Presys+ Electronics with Onboard Tuner

When you want to go electric, be sure to take advantage of this axe's clear and pristine Fishman Presys+ electronics. Utilizing an undersaddle transducer, the full-bodied warmth and resonance of each string will make its way from your fingers to the PA or your amp in clear and unadulterated fashion. You also have a three-band EQ to shape your output to your personal liking, and brilliance and notch controls give you further control over your signal's shape. A phase switch will help counter any feedback or phase issues when you fire this guitar up, and an onboard tuner (along with Grover 18:1 tuning pegs) will keep your strings in tune throughout your set.
