I bought this from Greenville Guitars in Greenville NC several years ago. It is the only guitar I think i've ever owned (having owned 40+ guitars) I've never had to modify, other than taking out the pickup and preamp. It's the "I never really have to worry about it" type - just pull it out, tune it and it goes - stays it tune - not a "great" sound but consistent throughout the register, even and predictable. Not loud, but neither is my singing voice, so it evens out. Dig in and it can sound like an acoustic, roll it back and it has a nice warm classical sound. Not a professional instrument, but a "Toyota"..if you will...little TLC = a lot of miles.
