Overview

The Washburn B16K is a 5-string banjo with a flame maple resonator finished in gloss sunburst for increased volume. It features a maple neck topped with a 22-fret Ebony fingerboard featuring unique deluxe pearl inlays and Planetary tuners for smooth tuning. An authentic Remo(R) head supports an ebony-tipped maple bridge for pristine articulation and a chrome armrest adds playing comfort.

This instrument is not only that, but a work of art. I ordered on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday. Packing was superb, with no damage. This instrument is all I hoped for and more. Not only is it beautiful, the craftmanship is superb. I could not find one single blemish. It does have to be set up, as all new Banjo's do. I set mine up myself, if you are not comfortable with doing that then take it to a Luthier, for a minimal charge they will set it up for you. The tone and sustain are remarkable. The precision is unmatched. The Planatary Gear Machines are smooth and precise. It allows to tune to the most intricate level. I did not have to adjust string height, which is rare. This is an instrument that I will leave to somebody when I am gone, it is that good. Thanks to zZounds for their payment plan. It allows us to have a much higher quality instrument and splits the cost over time. Just a service fee, no interest. You will not find another supplier that does this, period. They offer the highest quality gear and instruments at very competitive prices. I have used zZounds for my gear and instruments for 15 years and have never been disapointed. They have no equal..
