Wampler Faux Spring Reverb Pedal

The Wampler Faux Spring Reverb is a fat, watery spring reverb in a pedal... without the springs! Many reverbs go through an analog to digital conversion and then convert back from digital to analog after making the reverb echoes. This process will wreak havoc on your tone, making it seem lifeless, sterile, and...well, just BAD. This pedal has an analog base tone, so no worries about this pedal wrecking your tone! The tone control on it allows you to darken or brighten your echoes. From subtle to surf, you can even hear the "boing!" with extreme settings.

Features:

- High-grade film capacitors and resistors picked for their superior sound and response
- Completely true bypass
- 9v power jack (barrel plug like Boss) Please note: You cannot use a battery with this pedal.
- Controls: level, tone (brightness of reverb, doesn't affect base tone), depth
- 2.8ms max reverb time
- Ultra-bright LED for ease of use
- Powder-coated durable finish

I've received two of these that were not working. Zero reverb effect from either. I've tried several One spot and Boss 9v adapters/swapping (Lava) cables and could only get the blue light to go on. For $229.00 I was expecting a stellar reverb pedal only to be disappointed that I couldn't get either to work. Zzounds was however prompt with sending RMA's and even paid for shipping for the exchange for the first pedal, as well as the returned 2nd pedal. I really commend them for the customer support. I emailed Wampler for suggestions and failed to get a single response back. Which surprises me, considering that I've heard nothing but great things about Wampler pedals from various friends. What sold me on this pedal were some of the excellent demo's on youtube. Thus, I'm really surprised by the lack of support and the questionable quality of this product. Look elsewhere for better workmanship and support priced far cheaper than $229.00.
