Sophisticated modeling technology combined with the VOX Valve Reactor power amp circuit that uses a 12AX7 vacuum tube results in sound quality that overwhelms the competition. Announcing the VT series --- the latest combo amps in the Valvetronix series, featuring simulation sounds of famous guitarists.

Features
VOX Valve Reactor circuit that uses a 12AX7 to produce real tube power amp sound.

Twenty-two realistic amp models are built-in, ranging from the latest high-gain types to unobtainable legendary boutique amps and vintage amps.

Twelve high-quality effects including independent reverb, rivaling the quality of dedicated units

Three banks (basic, effected, and song) are provided for each amp model, giving you a total of sixty-six preset programs.

Twenty-two programs of "song presets" simulate the sounds of famous guitarists.

You can save eight of your own edited programs.

Power level control allows you to adjust the output wattage of the power amp, meaning that you can obtain that distinctive power amp distortion even at low output levels.

Headphone output lets you practice at home, even at night.

The VT50/100 provide an external speaker output, and the VT100 provides an effect loop for expandability.

By using the VFS5 foot switch you can use your foot to change programs or turn effects on/off.

With sound quality that overpowers its rivals, the Valvetronix series has achieved enormous support from guitarists around the world. It's a new generation of VOX amp that fuses high-quality modeling technology with the acclaimed VOX Valve Reactor tube technology. This new and eagerly awaited VT series provides twenty-two amp models that range from the latest high-gain types to hard-to-find boutique and vintage amps, together with a full complement of effects, making this a series of combo amps that will cover the needs of a wide variety of styles and performance techniques. Sixty-six preset programs are also provided, including twenty-two song programs that simulate the guitar sounds of famous guitarists, so even beginners who aren't familiar with guitar amps can start enjoying serious guitar sound right away. The VT series is available in four models --- 15, 30, 50, or 100W --- ranging from an entry-level model to units that can stand up to professional use on stage or in the studio.

VOX Valve Reactor circuit delivers true tube power amp sound
The VOX Valve Reactor circuit is the key factor that separates the Valvetronix series from other modeling amps. The 100% analog original power amp circuit actually has the same power amp circuit as a full-tube amp, using a 12AX7 miniature triode to reproduce a distinctive tube amp sound unattainable by digital technology. In other words, it replicates aspects that have an important influence on the sound of a tube amp, such as the power amp's class A/AB operation and the interaction of the power stage with the speaker, thus reproducing not only the response of the original amp's power amp circuitry, but also the power amp's distortion as well as the nuances and subjective sound pressure of a full-tube amp.

Since there's a power level control that allows you to decrease just the volume without affecting the tonal character, you can adjust the volume while enjoying the same sense of drive as when the master volume is at maximum. This means that you can obtain the exact same sound even when you're unable to play at maximum volume, such as when you're at home.

Twenty-two amp models use high-quality modeling technology
Another indispensible aspect of the Valvetronix series is the modeling technology that is the source of its diverse amp sounds. The sounds of twenty-two tube amps sought-after by the guitarists are built in, including vintage amps that are now hard to find, as well costly boutique amps. The coverage includes not only vintage types, but also the latest high-gain types, accommodating a wide variety of playing techniques and styles.

11 FX & Reverb
Twelve high-quality effects deliver the essentials with plenty of variation
Effects are an important part of creating your guitar sound. The VT series contains twelve effects with quality rivaling that of dedicated stand-alone processors, ranging from familiar standards to fresh new types. Of these, the reverb effect is always available, and three of the other eleven types are composite effects that allow up to three effects to be used simultaneously. Noise reduction can also be used at the same time. Each effect has multiple parameters that you can adjust to create the precise sound you want. There's also a tap switch that makes it easy to set the delay time or modulation speed. Independent reverb is provided, giving you an even broader range of sound-creating possibilities.

Sixty-six preset programs including "song presets" that simulate the sounds of famous guitarists
For each amp model, the VT series provides a "song preset" that simulates the guitar sound of a famous guitarist, giving you a total of twenty-two such presets. These song presets make it easy to instantly obtain the guitar sound of well-known songs everyone has heard. Each amp model also has a "basic preset" that represents the most typical settings, as well as an "effected preset" that takes full advantage of the effects, totaling forty-four presets. Together with the song presets, you have a total of sixty-six preset programs. Of course, you can also save your own favorite edited programs as one of eight user programs.

Headphone output and expandability allows home recording and late-night practice
There's a headphone output that can be connected to headphones or to your mixer or multi-track recorder. Since the tonal characteristics of the cabinet are applied to this output, the sound will not be impaired even if you make a direct-line recording or listen through headphones, ensuring that you continue to get that great spatial depth and character. The VT50/100 provides a speaker output that allows an external speaker to be connected, and the VT100 provides an effect loop that's convenient for connecting an external effect, giving you the flexibility to configure your system for any situation.

Optional VFS5 foot switch lets you switch programs or turn effects on/off with your foot
By using the optional VFS5 foot switch you can switch programs, turn reverb or other effects on/off, or make speed/tap settings using your foot. This is a great advantage when you're creating sounds or performing live.

Vox VT50 Valvetronix Customer Review
Sound:
I've been waiting for this product to come out for about three months now (since November 2008). Thank God I did cus this is truly the best all in one amp I've ever owned. Vox put such detail into this amp that it'll take me ahwhile to choose which sounds are best for me cus well, they all sound Soooo...Good! The 12AX7 tube with Vox's next generation in Valvetronix Technology is in a League all in it's own. With all 22 models x 3 + 8 self created savers Nothing comes even close to this modeling amp Period! From Chimey Clean Highs to Bite Crunch all the way and thru all Rock of the ages and into the darkest pits of Metal this amp gives this and more. The Models are so close you'll never find that with just one rig ever! The manual mode takes it further into creative plushness. The eight saver presets are a God send it's literally like having eight customized channels. the effects are amazing and are fully programable as well. The Amp is easy to figure out and the manual is well written and easy to understand. The classic Vox Chicken knobs are smooth and functionable thru-out the full rotation. Then there's that plush Vox reverb goin on thats always been a winner. Oh and yes the famous Vox tremolo is in the effects loop as well. One of the best things is that the amp has a knob on the back that adjust the wattage from 0.02 watts to fifty watts. That means practicing anywhere anytime with your sound un-altered. The optional footswitch (VFS5) puts all the fuctions of the amp on the floor for live, playing. The best thing is the footswitch is affordable not hundreds extra. Now there are 2 reasons why I opted for the VT-50 the 1st reason price . I played both the VT-50 and VT-100 side by side and of course the 100 watt'r has a more present sound with 2x12's vs the 50's 1x12. However They both go Way loud to play in any club situation and further to large venue's as well. The second reason I went with the VT-50 is that I have a Marshall 4x12 cab if need be. So I plugged it into one of the cabs thay had at the Store and Yeah it was just Sick! That means Good. But Stand alone as a Combo it'll do just fine. There are so many possibillites to go with this amp that you'll be able to re-define your sound many times over. I've been searching for a couple of years now for it to come to this. Yes I've tried the Tube amps all of Them that I could. And yes I have one too. But I'll say this. For the money this amp will inspire you too as it does me. I've been playing guitar since I was 10. Now I'm 48 years old and I feel Like I owe it,to some one. That'd be you! man go try this amp and buy it. Cus I run the VT-50 with my other Amp and I've gone something beyond lead guitar into Orchestral.

"Go Try THIS AMP for HOURS! UNBELIEVABLE!!"
Feature:
The features of this amp are incredible.First of all the amp uses a 12AX7 tube with Valvetronix technology. Then You have 22 modeled amps that are considered the industries most sought after amps thru-out musical history. Now times that times x3 because each modeled amp has three banks to it, 1.Normal preset 2.Set with effect 3.Precisely Set to the peremeters that was used on a classic hit song. Another words You have the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's + covered of which all/any modeled sounds can be easily modified and tailored to your own special preferences. Manual Mode gives you the whole deal to create and save your own thing if you choose too. Vox's classic chicken knobs are plush, responsive and cool too. No feature is left out in detail. You have a Gain Knob,Volume,Treble,Middle,Bass,Reverb, and Master. The 2 banks each with 4 save presets of your own is literally like having and eight channel amp. And the sounds you save come back exactly how you set them volume and effects wise. The effects section is rack like sounding and easy to use. It really doesn't take long to achieve a great effect on this amp.You have tap or hold the button while turning the knob to set your rate and another button for depth.Plus another button to turn on or off the effect. There is also a noise reduction knob for those nasty outlets you come across sometimes to keep the amp nice and quite while everyone else is buzzing.Plus the classic Vox reverb is second to none. You have all the effects you need and yes the great Vox Tremolo is included. In the back you have this knob that controls the amount of wattage you need from 0.02 watts to 50 watts. This feature alone is super cool. And there is a speaker extension for added cabs if desired. All the features of this amp can be controlled via the optional Vox VFS5 footswitch for use in live, practice and recording purposes. Plus the footswitch is rugged and afforable. This thing is built rugged as a tank I haven't had any trouble with it thus far. It came ground from Jersey and I live in California so yeah tuff stuff!

Quality:
The Amp looks great and the metal grill is thick an classy looking too. I think with a cover it'll be fine for local venues. Of course and anvil case with castors is best for any amp. The Amps Built Solid.

Value:
For the Money I can Honestly say I am going to buy another one. Because it's worth every penny and that's a 10!

Desirability:
It's perfect and sexy in everyway

Sound:
All 22 Modeled Amp sounds in the Vt-50 Sound excellent and are all very usable either for Live,Recording, and practicing. The sounds express the nuances intended and it does feel and sound as close to a all tube amp as you can get. It's By far more superior than any other modeling combo amp out there period! The manual modes let's me achieve a sound that I choose to have a not only what other amps would allow you to have. I get such a variety of sound it's going to take ahwhile to choose what to put in my 8 save presets. From Clear Chimey sounds to Rock, Blues, Hardrock, Metal, Jazz anyhting is possible with this Amp. It sounds incredible as is. This combo amp is the best sounding all around modeling amp available in my opinion period! I have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe as well and I'm running these both stereo and oh man YEAH! From Clear to Rock to the GATES of Metal super sound! for the Money. I hooked it up to my 4x12 Cele Cab and the sound is achieved is Quinsentual.

Ease of Use:
The amp is very easy to get your sound the hardest part is choosing one! The instructions are laid out step by step and categorized in a way to easily navigate any section of the amp you need to know about. I love the way Vox clues you to the Amp modeled using key para-phrases like "This Amp Sound is Modeled after a famous Guitarist of whom Slashes rhythms and has a liking for tall silk hats" pretty tricky.

Support:
Haven't had to yet. They always answered my e-mails quickly though when I was inquiring about the amp.

Overall:
This amp will take were I want to go. I will use it cuopled with an All tube amp as well. Don G. Ayala Lead Guitarist:Blues,Rock,Hard Rock,Metal
