Troves of Tones in Vintage Vox Threads

Vox amplifiers are instantly recognizable both for their sound and their distinguished looks. With the VT20 Plus, Vox really lives up to its legendary name. This Valvetronix is an awesome intersection of modern amp modeling technology and classic Vox threads: gold piping, chicken head knobs, and Vox's notorious diamond grill cloth. In other words, it looks just as cool as it sounds.

Valvetronix+ Technology at your Fingertips

Along with 33 distinct amplifier models to choose from, the Vox VT20 Plus gives you 25 onboard effects that are divided into three different categories: reverb, pedal, modulation/delay. Each built-in DSP amp model has three versions to choose from: Basic, Effected, or Song. That comes to a total of 99 different presets at your fingertips! This compact combo amp makes a great practice companion when it's not possible to lug around a large rig.

Practice Without Waking the Neighbors

The VT20 Plus' power level control also lets you get a great sounding distorted output at very low volumes if you're going sans headphones and want to keep the decibel level down.

First off, I own a Fender Blues Jr with Celestion Greenback and also the Vox Mini 3. I had been using my Fender for gigs and the mini3 for practice. I'm currently playing in 2 musicals and also doing stuff at church and honestly, I was getting so tired of lugging around the heavy Fender and ALL my guitar pedals. It was equating to 60 lbs total. And with these gigs I'm having to lug this equipment out at EVERY performance to prevent theft. So, I had to do something different. Also, doing the musical Hairspray, I have to switch effects at the drop of a hat and in between measures. So, I chose this because of the 8 channel presets. I'm absolutely loving it! It has a great balance of tubiness and solid state. Actually for the better I think. Nice bass and treble response. It's just a great amp and being able to adjust the power level for rehearsals is huge. I mainly use the clean setting with effects to model my blues Jr. It's plenty loud for my situations. Planning to keep the power level low and mic for the musicals. For my needs it's absolutely perfect!
