It's even available in three different sound styles: VOX AC30, Classic Rock, based on a UK-made amplifier head, and Metal, based on a California-made high-gain amplifier head. Even with its ultra-compact size, amPlug perfectly reproduces the complex and warm distortion that is distinctive of a vacuum tube, as well as the powerful high gain produced by a large amp stack. Using all new analog modeling technology, amPlug delivers full-fledged amp sound.

With its completely analog design, great care was also taken with amPlug's gain circuitry. "Classic Rock" uses four classical gain circuits to deliver that great sound. Even the circuit response of the original amp is simulated completely. The simulation extends not only to the response of the tone circuits, but also to the way in which the high frequency and gain are affected when you turn down the volume control of the guitar. Every detail has been faithfully reproduced.

amPlug can be used in numerous ways
With up to fifteen hours of battery life, it's easy to take amPlug anywhere. In addition to practicing at home, it's a great way to warm up before a live performance or on the road. And amPlug is not just a convenient way to get great guitar sound. There's also an AUX input jack so you can jam along with your CD/MP3 player. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Vox products.

Sound: Sounds fine with headphones and the optional speaker. A bit over Gainey . Feature: Different controls for Volume and Gain On Off and plugs fine into my Les Paul. Ease of Use: Plus and Play Quality: Plastic, so we shall see but I only plan to use at home. Value: not bad Manufacturer Support: Never used but will see. Had a Beatle in the 60's and have a Pathfiner for practice with no problems. The Wow Factor: Own it and use it for practice with both headphones and the optional speaker. Overall: Works great.

Sound: I was debating about getting the Vox Classic Rock or a small travel amp for when I travel. I wanted something that would be close to my Marshall stack at home so I purchased the Vox. The sound is amazing for a little plug in unit. I can get everywhere from clean to dirty and I don't have to lug an amp on the plane with me. It's easy to sit up in bed at night and not wake up my neighbors! Great product. Feature: Did not include and accessories (none needed). It fits my Strat and my 62 Tele custom but does not fit my 83 Tele Elite. The jack position is further in the body. I need to use an extension but it's no big deal. Ease of Use: Very easy to use. Sound is very good. Probably would sound better through better headphones. Quality: Well built. Not many parts so should last a long time. Value: Worth the money for sure... Manufacturer Support: Only delt with Zzounds and they were very helpful in making my decision. The Wow Factor: It's a plug and play. Not much sex involved. Overall: This is perfect for my current needs. Will not replace it. Have not tried other products but it looked worth the risk to buy. It works well for my needs. If lost or stolen I would buy the same product. I like most is the size and sound. Haven't found a keast yet.
