This drum serves my needs for one of this style. I don't feel the need to go searching for a different one at this point, and expect to get many pleasant years of use from it.
Sound
I have only played one other of this style drum, and the Toca is very much better in tone. I have little other experience, so don't know if there is better out there, but I am very satisfied.
Features
Only accessory is the drum beater. Again, I have only one other experience with this style of drum, so it is difficult to compare. I have to say, the beater works great and looks nice....No complaints there! I would love it to have a padded case for the drum, though.
Ease of Use
In my limited experience I find this drum easy to use, and a lot of fun. There are no instructions, but I'd seen it played before, and it is pretty intuitive.
Quality
Toca makes a really nice drum for the money. Natural skin heads are variable, but the ones they use seem consistantly good. The head could be replaced, but the way it is tied, I don't think I would want to try.
Value
Toca products in general seem fairly priced. There aren't many drums in this style available, and the Freestyle was definately less money than others I found.
Manufacturer Support
Never contacted them.
The Wow Factor
Looks attractive, is light weight & thus easy to haul around, good value, and most importantly it sounds great...Makes me "want it".
