Still using a warbly old cassette deck to record live performances, worship services, or conferences? Want to archive your live DJ sets directly to CD? The TEAC CD-RW890 is a low-priced introduction to the convenience of direct CD recording. Using inexpensive CD-R recordable media or CD-RW re-writable discs, the CD-RW890 can record any audio input via stereo analog RCA cables or digital optical cable. It's the perfect tool for live recording -- or transferring your "legacy" collection of cassettes, DATs, or MiniDiscs to CD.

Starts Rolling Automatically When It Hears Audio

The CD-RW890 has a convenient Synchronous Recording function that auto-starts a CD recording when it detects incoming level above a particular threshold. Select the Auto Track function to have your CD-RW890 automatically increment track numbers as it records as it detects silence (level below a threshold you set from -30 to -60 dB. Or choose Manual mode to increment track numbers yourself, each time you press the "record" button -- even while recording is in progress. Either way, you'll end up with a CD with separate tracks for easy navigation.

CD-RW: The Re-Writable, Reusable CD

The TEAC CD-RW890 supports convenient CD-RW re-writable discs, as well as CD-R recordable discs. After recording a CD-RW, your CD-RW890 can erase the disc's last track one by one, or erase from any track to the end of the disc. You can reuse the same CD-RW multiple times. You can even "unfinalize" a finalized CD-RW disc if you'd like to record (or erase) more tracks. And of course, CD-RW media lets you erase an entire disc via the Refresh function.

Playback for Live Venues

Your CD-RW890 works as a fully-functional CD player, cable of playing "silver" audio CDs or the CD-R/CD-RW media it records -- great for churches or performance venues where you'd like to play walk-in or pre-show music. Use the included wireless remote control to access all the handy CD playback functions like Shuffle, Repeat, and A-B Repeat (which repeats a designated section within a track). With the CD-RW890, TEAC gives you a double-duty machine with recording capabilities, for the price of a standalone CD player.
