The large-venue capacity Tech 21 Power Engine 400 is a 2U rackmount power amp and is engineered specifically for musical instruments. It offers truly transparent sound. It can be used with any direct recording device or instrument pre-amp, analog or digital, tube or solid state, in stomp box or rackmount formats, from any manufacturer.

The Power Engine 400 sports an oversized power supply with toroidal transformer that yields a natural transient response for pure, uncolored tone. It employs top-quality Toshiba power transistors and a speed-controlled, heat-sensor equipped cooling fan for super reliability.

These instrument power amplifiers take the transparent Power Engine capabilities to large-venue capacity, producing 200-watt per side @ 8 Ohms. These heavy-duty modules will fit in a 2U rack space. The power supply delivers pneumatic punch with a natural transient response, while the tone is pure and uncolored. Each model is super-reliable with top-quality Toshiba power transistors and a heat-sensor-equipped cooling fan.
