The Taylor 414ce brings unique tone by pairing the quick, articulate response of Sitka spruce with the warmth and sparkle of Ovangkol. The tone is reminiscent of rosewood, yet entirely its own. Providing access to the upper registers of the fingerboard, the 414ce's soft Venetian cutaway is both practical and attractive, while the Taylor Expression System allows you to share your music with the world.

Grand Size

The Grand Auditorium combines the width and depth of a Dreadnought with a narrower waist. Its sleek design yields a strong treble zing across the tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. The Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar that also adapts well to medium strumming.

Taylor Expression System

Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensorsto capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.

Fit & Finish

The finish used to create this guitar's textured satin back and sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. "Best guitar I ever played.. PERIOD!"

Sound: The sound is right up my ally. Perfect for me! Feature: The only thing its missing is a fancy rosette inlay. Besides that looks and feels great. Ease of Use: I've played alot of Taylors. This one fits perfectly in my hands and plays like butter! Right when I put it in my hands I knew I was what I was looking for all along and I had to have it! Quality: QUALITY??? Thats what Taylor stands for right? Its erfect! I LOVE everything about it! The first show I played with it was so much fun. Weather its on stage or unpluged, this thing sounds great. I feel like a better musician already Value: You pay for what you get! In this case Quality! Manufacturer Support: Its Taylor! The Wow Factor: Like I mentioned before, the only thing I would add is a fancy rosette inlay. Besides that looks and feels great. Overall: This is my guitar for life!

Sound: First of all, i bought this used for $1400 off ZZ and it did NOT look used at all. Maybe a couple of tags that were taken off I suppose? Anyway, this guitar looked brand new and it is a really great instrument. The articulation and balance of the sound is really on point. The Ovangkol has a really magical tone and color to it. It sounds a lot like rosewood, like other people tend to mention, nice and bright, but with an added hollowness that gives it this reverb kind of quality. Its great for fingerstyle or pick. Light picks give a very balanced tone, while using a Medium can give you more emphasis on the lower or higher strings. Only minor complaint is that it doesn't project like a Martin or Gibson. If youre plugged in though, you have no worries. Especially great for solo singer/guitarists as the guitar will never take anything away from your vocals given the mellow projection. Feature: The electronics are very articulate and natural sounding. It has magnetic pickups so they can hum on occasion, but that is also rare. Ease of Use: Had the action lowered when i got it. now it plays like butter. Quality: Taylor is a fine product. Sound is subjective, and you make dig the gibson or Martin sound more, but when it comes to quality, Taylor beats them out hands down. The construction, intonation, and the way they brought the high notes on the fretboard to life, makes taylor a class of its own, as far as quality is concerned, Value: best acoustic under 2 grand. go to your local guitar center and test ones at this price. youll see. Manufacturer Support: hanvent dealt with company. never had to. The Wow Factor: The Ovangkol is gorgeous. The front of the guitar has nothing flashy, but that doesnt matter, really. Overall: Love it! The taylor 300 series and up are all made with the same construction. Just some have different woods and have added decorations. That is the only difference between this, and a 4000 dollar taylor.
