Taylor's Exquisite Expression System Electronics

Setting the 410ce apart from the competition is Taylor's onboard Expression System pickup complement. Designed with the help of Rubert Neve, these electronics utilize patented Dynamic Sensors to capture, contain, and project the warmth and depth of your axe's resounding body. You'll surely struggle to find any other stock electronics that offer such a pristine sonic signature.

Sitka Spruce and Ovangkol Dreadnought Body

Topping your 410ce's dreadnought-shaped body with a welcoming bright color is Sitka spruce. Ovangkol back and sides complement Sitka spruce very well by offering a similar sound to rosewood, with a slightly greater emphasis on your mids and highs. Together, these woods offer a nice depth with slightly less low end -- compared to darker woods like mahogany -- while still maintaining an read more even and well articulated sound.

Tropical Mahogany Neck and Ebony Fretboard

Along with Taylor's pristine tone comes the ultimate in acoustic-electric comfort and playability. Your Taylor 410ce's tropical mahogany neck is capped off with a super-smooth ebony fretboard with 20 frets of tight action. You'll be surprised at how fast and smooth an acoustic axe's neck can be once you shoulder this baby and let your fingers walk the walk. The comfy Venetian cutaway on your 410ce gives you plenty of room to reach those higher frets when you need them.

Taylor 410ce Dreadnought Cutaway Guitar

Sporting a Venetian cutaway and Taylor's Expression System electronics, this versatile Dreadnought is ready for anything. From your living room to the concert stage, it's ideal for medium to heavy strumming and flatpicking.

Sitka Spruce Top, Ovangkol Back & Sides

The quick, articulate response of Sitka spruce is combined with the warmth and sparkle of ovangkol, giving the 400 Series a tone reminiscent of rosewood, yet uniquely its own.

Dreadnought Refined

A traditional shape refined, we combine classic dreadnought volume and bass response with the definitive Taylor sound: clear trebles and an open, airy midrange that Bob Taylor's signature design accentuates. Dreadnoughts respond especially well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming.

Taylor Expression System

Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.

Satin with Gloss Top

The finish used to create this guitar's textured satin back and sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes. Available in natural finish.

Sound
At a Halloween costume party I asked the band leader/guitarist if the guitar he had sitting on stage was a Taylor 410CE, and he seeing that I knew something about guitars asked me if I would like to play it. With a little proding from my wife, I accepted his invite and joined in on a couple of covers with the group. My apprehension gave way to sheer delight at the feel of this fine instrument in my grip. I was ecstatic. Ended up soloing for an hour and a half, before I realized the room had filled to standing room only listening to the incredible harmonics and tone I was sending through the air. I think I died and went to Heaven.
Features
On board EQ & tuner. Made it easy to go to Drop D, DADGAD and probably any other if you wanted.
Ease of Use
This guitar made a novice sound like a pro. What more could you ask for?
Quality
Scraping up the cash for my own now.
Value
Have played other top of the line guitars, and this is it when it comes to value for the money. As good as a MartinD45 in sound though not quite as flashy in looks. What matters most?
