Ebony fretboard Dark color, tight grain; premium fretboard wood

The Taylor 410 acoustic guitar is a subtle, sublime marriage of West African ovangkol and North American Sitka spruce tonewoods in a classic dreadnought body shape. Visually, it's a guitar of understated beauty and elegance. Its voice, however, is a whole realm of gorgeous, rich complexity. Its thick dreadnought body projects a sound that is characteristic and full, with lots of throw. The Taylor 410 is a true dreadnought design, with clear frets up through the 14th, no cutaway and no onboard electronics.

Ovangkol Sides for a Distinctive Sound

The use of tropical West African ovangkol wood in the back and sides reflects Taylor's commitment to exploring new woods and tones in guitar design. Found in Taylor's 400 series guitars, ovangkol wood as a side and back material yields a sound that is most similar to Indian rosewood. Its distinctive midrange sparkle, however, gives it with a character all its own. It yields a guitar with a broad tonal spectrum, with particularly crisp treble notes and slightly more midrange than most other guitars.

A True Dreadnought Guitar

The Taylor 410 has a substantial dreadnought body measuring 4.625 inches deep. The guitar is 16 inches across at its widest point with a 25.5-inch scale neck length. The light finish on the guitar's Sitka spruce top reveals the subtle beauty in the grain of this North American tonewood. No run-of-the-mill dreadnought, the Taylor 410 is appointed with white fiber binding and large pearl dot fretboard read more inlays, lending distinctive identity to this particular model.

Taylor 410 Acoustic Guitar

This stunning Taylor dreadnought can hold its own in any situation, with its large voice and rosewood-like tone and harmonics, courtesy of its back and sides constructed of solid ovangkol wood.

Sitka Spruce Top, Ovangkol Back & Sides

The quick, articulate response of Sitka spruce is combined with the warmth and sparkle of ovangkol, giving the 400 Series a tone reminiscent of rosewood, yet uniquely its own.

The Traditional Dreadnought, Refined

Taylor's dreadnought guitars combine classic dreadnought volume and bass response with the definitive Taylor sound: clear trebles and an open, airy midrange that Bob Taylor's signature design accentuates. Dreadnoughts respond especially well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming.

Satin with Gloss Top

The finish used to create this guitar's textured satin back and sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.
