Taylor 326ce Grand Symphony GuitarThe cutaway acoustic/electric 326ce features Taylor's Grand Symphony body shape, whose powerful voice showcases a meaty lower midrange, thick treble notes, and impressive volume and sustain. The blackwood/mahogany wood pairing emphasizes a strong midrange focus with appealing warmth and top-end shimmer, making this a robust strummer with broad dynamic range and a smooth balance across the tonal spectrum. The neo-vintage aesthetic includes a shaded edgeburst top, all-satin finish, black binding, black pickguard, and Italian acrylic small diamond fretboard inlays. The guitar comes equipped with Taylor's Expression System 2 pickup and ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
ShapeGrand Symphony: With a slightly larger footprint than the Grand Auditorium, the GS yields a slightly more potent and dynamic all-around sound. Players can expect deeper bass, thicker trebles, and increased volume and low-end sustain, all without disrupting the tonal balance and clarity of the guitar.
Top WoodTropical Mahogany: As a top wood, mahogany produces a natural compression, so it won't yield as quick a response as a spruce-top guitar will. A mahogany-top guitar will produce strong fundamentals, with clear and direct focus. It might be characterized as having a woody, dry tone.
Body WoodTasmanian Blackwood: Blackwood's tone profile resembles that of koa or mahogany in its midrange focus -- a little dry and clear yet also warm -- with an added splash of top-end shimmer and richness found in rosewood. Its musicality suits a variety of body sizes and musical styles.
ElectronicsExpression System 2: Taylor's breakthrough acoustic pickup marks a major advance in piezo technology thanks to a patented behind-the-saddle design. The unique placement of three piezo sensors captures a more dynamic range of acoustic sound and responds well in a variety of settings.
CutawayVenetian: Standard on "ce" models in the 300 Series and up, the Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the guitar. The Grand Concert, Grand Auditorium, and Grand Symphony have a steeper slope, while the Dreadnought is a bit flatter. Our Grand Concert nylon-string models also feature a subtle, flatter slope, while our 100 and 200 Series cutaway models incorporate our flattest slope.
