Capture 16 Simultaneous Analog Inputs for an Unbelievable Price!
With the Tascam US-16x08 audio interface, you'll have enough inputs to record the whole band! On the front panel, you get 8 phantom-powered XLR microphone preamps with 57 dB of clean gain, plus two switchable 1/4" line/instrument inputs. On the back, you'll find MIDI I/O, 6 more 1/4" line inputs, as well as 8 line outputs -- perfect for feeding multiple headphone monitor mixes when tracking, or connecting outboard gear when mixing. This 16-in/8-out interface sends multichannel digital audio to your Mac, PC or iOS device at up to 96 kHz/24-bit resolution over a single USB 2.0 cable. Tascam's DSP Mixer app lets you set up EQ, compression and reverb on each channel for monitoring.
Includes Rack Ears and Ergonomically Angled Desktop Stand
Mount the single-rack-space US-16x08 with your other rack gear, or set it up on your desk with the ergonomically angled stand. The angled stand gives you access to all the front-panel inputs, headphone volume, and outputs 1-2 volume on individual knobs.
16 Simultaneous Inputs: Live Tracking Powerhouse
Looking to record your band? Unless you want to produce your next recording one overdub at a time, you'll need a lot of inputs. How about sixteen? That's what the Tascam US-16x08 USB interface packs. When musicians play live together, you get that organic give-and-take that makes a recording breathe with life. With 16 simultaneous analog inputs, you'll have the channels you need to capture more than just a great song, but a great performance.
Low-Latency Monitoring with EQ, Compression and Reverb
With the US-16x08's DSP Mixer app, you can send your input signals directly to the output. This means that you, or whoever is performing the overdub, will hear what's being played without being distracted by playback delay or software-induced echo. A professional digital recording interface needs
direct monitoring capability, and the Tascam US-16x08 has it.
On The Front Panel: 8 XLR Mic Pres + 2 Line/Instrument Jacks
Half the inputs on the Tascam US-16x08 are already front-loaded with Ultra-HDDA microphone preamps. You'll be able to plug up to eight microphones -- including condenser mics that require +48V phantom power -- directly into this USB interface without the need for additional external mic preamps. These preamps have 57 dB of gain, enough to handle hot condenser mics, medium-output dynamic mics, and even low-output, un-powered ribbon microphones. The next two inputs are balanced 1/4-inch jacks, mounted on the front face of the unit and switchable from line-level to Hi-Z for direct recording of guitars and basses -- perfect for sending signal to your amp-modeling software.
In Back: 6 More Line Inputs
Channels 11 through 16 are balanced, line-level, 1/4-inch inputs for direct connection of keyboards, drum machines, synth sound modules, hardware sequencers, external mixers, external mic pres, or any other line-level source. All 16 analog inputs feed an analog-to-digital converter stage that is capable of professional 96kHz/24-bit audio conversion. MIDI I/O rounds out back panel -- plug in your MIDI controller or send a MIDI sequence out to a MIDI-capable outboard synth.
