I bought this to put on my rack, record my band, and use it to self-critique our music. I didn't realize that this bad boy will, if you have your mixer dude doing the job, make live performance/studio, capable digital sound. WYSIWYG, is the key. If you want to edit, post record, buy a software package to do it. This is what it claims to be, and nothing more......but in itself lies the perfection of recording all active channels......flawlessly. Dynamic range is beyond what I've found, and I'm running a sub boost, and EQ's that stub only the 1k spot. This is the real deal.
