The TASCAM CD200 plays audio CDs, MP3 CDs and WAV file CDs and features CD TEXT and ID3 tag support as well as an unbalanced phono output and S/PDIF out.

TASCAM's best-selling CD-160 CD player has been updated to the CD-200. The player uses a brand transport, the TEAC CD-5020A. The transport is custom designed for audio playback with a smooth loading drawer and low clamping noise. The internal clock has been improved for a smoother sound and decreased jitter.

Like the CD-160, the CD-200 has unbalanced phono outputs and S/PDIF digital out on coaxial and optical jacks. MP3 and WAV file playback is supported, and front-panel Folder navigation buttons are provided. A wireless remote control with numerical track select buttons is also included.

I just got my TASCAM 200 in today, took about 5 min's to hook it up, I'm running it analog thru a SANSUI 771 receiver 1971 model, w/a ADC-20- ban graphic -pre 50-amp equalizer an a 5-way mixer, w/-6 Fisher speakers, I was totally impressed, W/a name like TEAC you really can't go wrong, for the price an quality choose this unit, sure you can buy bigger an better, but the price can go up to 6-G's I had a great adventure dealing w/ZZOUNDS, had to call them about a Tec question and they were most helpful, I will continue to make all my music equipment needs thru them,
