The 302mkII Dual Well Cassette Deck is an advanced dual well cassette deck, designed to solve the needs of demanding users. The 302 offers independent audio input and output for each well, allowing total control over each deck. The 302 can be set up so that one deck plays a tape while the other records an external source. This is perfect for recording a meeting and playing audio sources back, or playing music from tape and recording a performance on top of it. If the situation calls for a common I/O structure, you can switch it easily on the front panel. This makes it easy for creating dual masters, or saving inputs on a mixer.

When long format recording or playback is desired, the 302mkII's optical leader sensing detects the leader of a tape for immediate cassette direction reverse. The machine won't lose time waiting to pass over the leader tape twice. For extremely long format recording and playback is desired, the cascade functions allow automatic sequential triggering of each deck for unmanned operation. The 302 also offers Return To Zero function for easier cueing, ±10% pitch control to make changes in speed, and headphone output with level control.

The 302 is designed for regular use and versatility, combining a feature rich cassette recorder/player with extended duplication capabilities.

Home or Project Studio - In the home and project studios, each device ends up serving more than one application. The 302 cassette deck offers the ability to create two masters at once, generating more reference mixes faster for listening in the car or in the living room. A return to zero function helps users who are trying to put more mixes on a single tape by locating to the beginning of the tune on cue.

As with most dual well cassette decks, the 302 can provide real time copies for high quality duplication or 2x duplication for rehearsal tapes or quick dubs. Unlike most of its competitors, multiple 302s can be combined to create a duplication rack. Ports on the back are provided for transport control and audio cascading.

Music Educators - Dance Instructors - Health Clubs - Band, Choir, Theater and Dance programs often need to be able to make copies of rehearsal tapes for their performers to practice with. The 302 makes these quick and painless. The ±10% pitch control on the front panel can help nudge an out of tune track into tune with a musician, or totally change the tempo for dancers and aerobic workouts.

The 302 is an ideal product for this market, offering the ability to serve as a cassette player and master recorder simultaneously. (Music could be played from one well while the recording is made on the other.)

The ability to cascade a couple of 302s for duplication comes in handy, too. One machine could be used in the main gathering area, and another machine was used with a more portable system. These two units could be brought together for duplication.
