This new Tama Swingstar kit features an 18x22 inch bass drum, which is currently the most popular bass drum size in the high-end drum market, Accel-sized toms, and high-quality German-made brass cymbals. The new bass drum delivers a huge sound with massive depth and bottom.

Swingstar kits also feature a wood snare, Accu-Tune bass drum hoops, the same exacting shell standards as Tama's high end pro kits, and the legendary Omniball tom holder. The rock solid Omniball system has been acclaimed by pro drummers for well over twenty years. You can achieve almost any angle by simply loosening one T-bolt. Swingstar's shells are crafted of six plies of Philippine mahogany for warm sound, excellent projection, and structural strength.

Swingstar stands now feature double braced legs and a 25.4mm diameter tube that provides a lower center of gravity for more stability. This kit also includes an extra cymbal stand (a boom and a straight cymbal stand), plus Tama cymbals: a 16 inch crash, a 20 inch ride and 14 inch hi-hats; and an instructional DVD.

Accu-Tune Bass Drum Hoops
Tama's Accu-Tune hoops have it all. Their hi-tech material offers lighter weight, and faster, more stable tuning than traditional metal hoops. Since Accu-Tune hoops use tension bolts instead of clawhooks and Trods, head changes and packing up are a breeze.

A special groove at the bottom of the hoop offers easy and secure pedal connection even when the bass drum is angled. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Tama products.

Sound: You will enjoy this drum set right out of the box. But do yourself a favor and buy some heads, top and bottoms for all drums and you will truly love this set. ALthough the stock bass drum heads sounds great. Feature: This is a complete drum set. When you buy this set you will get everything you need to start playing. It even includes a dvd that will walk you through the very simple assembly of your drum set. Quality: This is a very well made kit and a very, very solid set of drums.All stands are double braced. After putting everything together and making sure everything was tight nothing wobbled around while I played. You will enjoy this set for years and years. Value: This drum set is the best value in this price range.A complete drum kit this well made for this price.Best value, Best value, Best value, shop around you will see what I mean. Manufacturer Support: I have not had to deal with Tama directly. That they took the time to make a dvd with professional drummers in it shows me they care about their products and their buyers. The Wow Factor: I bought my Tama swingstar with the midnight blue shells and after work I cant wait to come home and play my drums.Im costantly staring at them because I put them in my living room. Overall: I will play these for years while I save up for a more expensive set of drums.If you really want a real drum set to practice on buy this now and save some money to get a really expensive drum set you really want.

"Wow!"

Sound: the sound of the toms with some new heads sounds pro, but the slight snare buzz you find in the set makes the sound just shy of a perfect 10. Feature: It came with 3 cymbals: a hi-hat with a nice sound to it. a great 16" crash that I use with my Zildjians, and a crash ride. The only concern is that the bell on the ride is a little small, but that is why it is a crash ride. 10/10! Ease of Use: Amazingly easy to use, especially how this is my first set to date i've owned. Quality: Get new heads, and these things have the potential to sound like a pro's kit. Value: I got the set and hardware new for $550. An amazing deal for the most powerful name in drums! Manufacturer Support: I never had to call Tama regarding the set, so I will give this category a 10/10 in durability. The Wow Factor: I got the black model, and it is just beautiful. The shine of the toms could blind! Overall: I will be using this product for years to come... great set!
