Feature:
The die cast hoops are very nice, hardly ever goes out of tune. The star cast mounting system is excellent.
Quality:
I went over them very closely when I got them out of the boxes, the quality control is definitely there. The lacquer finish is superb. {Mine is titanium fade} and I get many compliments on them. The Superstars give you more for the money, if you look close at the features and put them against other drums they're definitely worth it.
Value:
I think it was worth the money, I bought the set at Dales Drum Shop in Harrisburg Pa. It was more expensive than some sets but I'm willing to pay more to get a higher quality set and I got it. I'm not a beginner and I did my homework.
Desirability:
I love to play them, I want to play them, I love to look at them, and hear the positive remarks I get from people when they see them.
Sound:
The birch shells have a good punch to them, very clear.
Ease of Use:
I have had no problem setting them up, or positioning them. I replaced the stock heads with some Evans heads and got a better results. It has the right amount of lugs on the drums to get a good sound.
Support:
I didn't need any support from Tama, I haven't had any issues. I did contact Tama about the free double bass pedal, {a promotion at the time I bought it}, and they were very professional.
Overall:
I plan on keeping this set for quite a while.I added some A-customs and Paragon cymbals to this set and it is fantastic. I know the other drum companies make good drums also, there's no denying that, when I did my homework on different sets it seemed that Tama gave me more for the money.
