Tama's Round Rider seat resembles your standard drum throne, its rounded, gentle shape with lower-profile seams give the drummer added leg mobility. This Hydraulix throne has a Cloth Top giving the used extra comfort and adherancemakes this seat feel soft but solid, reducing fatigue and lengthens playing time for long nights it would normally be hard to continue.

The Wow Factor: This is a great throne and it basically dethrones the Roc n Soc Nitro, which I also have. The Nitro's seat design makes it a bit problematic as a one-size-fits-all support for the hind quarters. Tama keeps things simple with a firm but comfy round seat. The hydraulix system works like a charm, and, the design offers an impressive range of heights, including extra low. Also, it's Tama, so it's a rock solid design. This is the throne I've been looking for for some time. My only complaint is that the cushioning seems a tad on the stiff side, but the seat is brand new, so that could change over time. Best of all for those gigging, the seat is comparatively light, and, the seat can be dissembled from the throne in seconds. This is "the" seat...
